We always get asked what is safe to feed our birds?
I'm going to start posting chops we feed our birds and listing what is safe , I'll also sow some examples on how to prepare certain fruits making it easier and less waste
Our basic chops always consist of a large amount of
Capsicum
Kale
Broccoli
To which we will add a vary of other vegetables and fruits
For example in these photos we have variants
Chilli
Dragon fruit
Strawberries
Apple
Pear
Kiwi fruit
Blue berries
Corn
Grapes
Orange
As the year progresses you will see different fruits and vegetables added but always remember to keep fruits at a reasonable amount they do consist of natural sugars

Torch and Olympus have laid a second clutch , first were clear but they are breeding so it's just a matter of time 😍😍🥰💛🧡💛💙💛💙

I hadn't actually entered Torch into a competition but he was chosen for obvious reasons lol his such a beautiful boy and his got the best personality also 💕 I just received my "gift" and I love it, couldn't be anymore blessed this year has started off amazingly
Next month the new hyacinth aviary starts 😁

Bunya nuts are the large edible seeds within the cone of the Bunya pine tree. Bunya pines were on earth at the time of the dinosaurs. An individual tree can live for about 600 years. They grow 35-45 metres high and the pine cone can weigh up to 10 kilograms, so you don’t want to be standing under the tree when the pine cones are falling.

She has 2 eggs!! So proud 🎉
First clutch they have ever had, have reached maturity and they are very bonded

Chino and nala are a really impressive pair, they have a more green blue tail than the solid blue like my other macaws , almost iridescent
Not only that but they are always in perfect feather condition and vibrant
A good diet and lots of stimulation is key to a good looking macaw 💙

Birds have 3 eyelids The nictitating membrane is largely transparent its pretty much to help keep dust ect out of birds eyes it's attached to the inner corner of the eye
