It’s been a very calm 2years for us with regards to the business, but it’s been a very busy life with still full time jobs, still goat farmers, full time family life & full time caregivers to Tonia’s dad with end stages of Alzheimer’s disease.

To everything a season, it’s time to announce we will be closing the website. Our focus is family right now, just getting through the many challenges each day brings. We are so very thankful to all of our customers, family and friends that have supported and bought our products and services.

With the biggest of hearts we wish you all the best and enjoy your upcoming holiday season.

I’m sorry for not keeping up with regular posts:

Life is kind of become a whirlwind lately. Our nine-year-old son became violently sick this week with E. coli, it’s a strand that causes the Shiga toxins, which can cause a lot of other organs to be affected.
Including his appendix and his liver. We have been traveling back-and-forth to Albany, Medical Center, and been in/out of the hospitals trying to find the answers he needs to get better.. it been so tiring to navigate through this healthcare system that often falls short or takes exceedingly long periods to get what you need!

This is putting an enormous amount of strain on us, Myself (Tonia) is driving back-and-forth every single day to be able to take care of animals and my elderly father that lives with us with stage Alzheimer’s. My husband (AJ) has been staying with Maddox in the hospital. So we are both not working right now, although we are very thankful we have good health insurance and time off available to us from our employers..
We think we are headed in the right direction with Maddox and that we are getting to the bottom of this medical quandary… all we really ask for is prayers that Maddox can get better. ❤️‍🩹

Hello 👋 Followers and Friends

As some of you may already know, Tonia’s father has end stages Alzheimer’s disease and now lives with her family. Tonia is very much involved in the Northeast NY chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association as an advocate, of course when she isn’t tending to the goats or making soap.

As part of her continued efforts to raise awareness to this disease and her father’s specific story, she will be do a live stream fundraiser on the farm. Friday 6/21/24 at 6pm

Today was “Ag Day” at Salem Central School 💜💛

“Sweet Tea & Sweet Pea” got lots of lovins today! I heard so many’s “I want a goat” from kids and adults 🤣🤣 so parents and spouses don’t hate us for making your loved ones come home begging!

Come on, who doesn’t want this kind of love in their life ❤️❤️

First picture: Welcome Home and to the Herd Sperry Family Farm Stetson! Who we. Will affectionately call “Cowboy.” This handsome boy is just amazing with a calm temperament, big and long bodied who will be our new herd sire. We can’t wait to see the amazing kids he will throw.

2nd & 3rd pictures: all the remaining babies are together and separated from mommas. Which this officially means it’s time to start milking! I gave the pep talk speech to all the momma’s to be well behaved on the stand tomorrow and let’s get this done with no issues 🤣🙏

Babies are headed to their new homes. These two doelings are headed off to a farm in Northern VT, near the Canada border.

According to the ag census data, in 2022, there were 2,007 farms raising goats in New York, with a total inventory of 29,673 goats. The most common type were meat goats (1,169 farms with 15,788 goats), followed by milk goats (913 farms with 12,785 goats), and Angora goats (175 farms with 1,100 goats). During the year, 914 farms sold 12,423 goats worth nearly $4 million.

Disbudding day for the kids.
Everyone is back home with their momma’s and bouncing around like nothing ever happened.

This weekend I will have the honor to participate in Southern Adirondack Homesteading Festival Washington County Fair
