How to bathe a fluffy chicken? ☁️🐔
I have some tips for you!
☁️ Pour warm water (about 40 ° C) into a bowl or wash basin.
☁️ You can put a towel on the bottom, so the legs do not slip.
☁️ Gently and calmly put the hen in the water. Let the chicken get used to it. Remember that your peace of mind is crucial for a pleasant atmosphere.
☁️ The water should be as high as the crop, not higher.
☁️ Wet your hen, then massage What the fluff into her features.
☁️ Lemon balm and Frankincense oil have calming properties. Let the chicken relax in the bath. Your hen may even fall asleep; this is perfectly normal behavior XD
☁️ Avoid the eye area. The shampoo will not hurt them, but it can pinch a little and spoil the bath's pleasant atmosphere 😉
☁️ Rinse the shampoo thoroughly, be careful not to flood the nostrils.
☁️ If chicken is filthy, you may need to wash it twice, replacing it with clean water.
☁️ After taking it out of the bath, wrap it with a towel, and then dry it with a hair dryer, thanks to which you will increase the fluffiness effect.
☁️ In the cold months, leave the hen for several hours at room temperature before releasing it outside.

"Do chickens need a bath?" - it's a common question.
The answer is: of course not! 🙃 Theoretically, dogs, cats, or horses do not need bathing too. You also shouldn't take a bath every day, you know that? 😉
Usually, the regular hens are satisfied with sand (dirt) baths and rain. The hens' feathers are covered with natural fat, which helps the hens to keep them clean. Silkie chickens are different; their feathers are down themselves. Silkies get dirty much more quickly than other species, and due to the specificity of their fluff, they are more exposed to various types of worms: lice, ticks, and mites 🤢
Moreover, our fluffysaurs ask to be hugged; they are cute and gentle, so we like to take them inside sometimes 🏠 They are also often companions of children who love to cuddle with them. As #whatthefluffshampoo, we treat silkie chickens like any other domestic animals that are not only meant to lay eggs but also look and smell nice. No wonder we want to bathe our #petchickens, and we can do so without harming them and even helping them fight external parasites. But we need to use the right cosmetics! 🛀
What the fluff is a 100% natural, vegan shampoo 🧴; its PH is adjusted to chickens, and its ingredients are entirely safe. All this so that the shampoo cleans safely without damaging the natural barrier of the hens' skin. The specialists from PositiveCare- naturalne kosmetyki dla zwierząt took good care of the safe composition and the right proportions of active ingredients. Unfortunately, washing chickens with shampoos for humans, animals, and even children does not give this guarantee. Dogs and cats have fur, and people have hair, while silkie hens have down, the structure of which is governed by different rules.
