✨Training With Shakira✨
Here’s a little clip of a recent training session with Shakira!
We work on many different commands during Shakira’s sessions to help keep her engaged in the sessions including: Heel, Recall, Wait and Stay as well as helping her maintain her focus on her handler during distractions!
In this video, Shakira was asked to “Wait”, while a ball was thrown. She maintained in her position until she was given her release word to retrieve the ball and what a fab job she did!!
Well Done Shakira!! Keep up the good work🐶❤️
(Had permission from the clients to record and post)
We’ve had a very busy day here at Bark and Blossom but here’s a video of Max’s heel on our waist lead as part of an early evening session tonight!
Today at Bark and Blossom we had our lovely Red back for another 60 minutes training walk! She did a wonderful job of starting to “check in” on her own as well as introducing recall to her as a new activity to keep sessions fun and exciting and give her lots to engage with on her walks. Looking forward to seeing you again Red!🐶❤️
(Video of Red showing her wonderful recall followed by a sit upon approach)
*DISCLAIMER: the lead is not pulled or moved while it is under Red’s body, she’s a very bouncy girl so this happens and she either fixes it herself as she’s exploring or when she’s recalled and sat we quickly readjust before she is able to adventure again*
Well that’s our very first walk done! Red enjoyed an hour long walk with training this morning and it’s safe to say she was as good as gold! With it being Red’s first session we introduced some of the equipment to her including whistles, clickers and our recall line (which she had lots of fun with). She began learning to “check in” and maintain focus on her handler both on the street and in a large open field! Well done Red! 🐶❤️
