Last week we had a 6 month old kitten present with vomiting, lethargy, not eating or drinking, & not passing urine or stool. During the exam, Dr. MARK found the patient had a black string wrapped around the base of his tongue. We completed X-rays, which revealed a linear foreign body and recommended exploratory surgery. We removed 4.5 feet of thick string from the intestines. The patient is doing FANTASTIC post surgery and is back to being a happy and healthy kitten.
