When the Coach Requires Coaching - great session yesterday - my queen was on ๐ฅWhat do you want to get from your coach? Is it confidence? A better relationship and understanding of your horse? A better seat? How to ride the perfect stride? Or do you just want another set of eyes at times because schooling on your own can become SOOOOO boring?We all need to ask for advice at times, and I find another view on my ride essential. However, itโs good to have an idea of what you want to achieve in your session. Those of you who train with me regularly will know that I always start the session with, โHow is he/she going, and what have you been up to?โ This is usually followed by, โWhat are you looking to work on?โ Here, Iโm inviting you to tell me what you want to refine. For me, it doesnโt matter what this isโwhether itโs schooling, jumping a cross pole after a fall, or aiming for 1.30m. The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead 2024 has sadly come to an end & what can I say itโs been an Amazing week, all the horses jumped super & had some good results. This show was always going to be about my Queen ๐ Lulu competing in the speed derby for the 3rd time & once again she did me proud with another๐ 10 performance we came 9th we were 4 seconds quicker than 2023 but annoyingly losing a shoe in the final part of the course Cost us a few fences. Onwards & upwards we now have 365 days to train harder and improve on this years results. She really is my horse of a life time. Super couple of days South Of England Show 2024 South of England Agricultural Society just with a a few ๐ฆ picking up a ๐ฅ & ๐ฅ on day one and just a fenc down stopped me winning today with Blue & Gloria but great to be back jumping at this super show which for me is always the start of the summer show season & is a great prep for The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead Samshield The Equine Collective ICE Horseboxes Rugupnow Kilean Equine Oliver Relations Sussex Farrier The Saddle Bank
