I have a very nice headcollar in for repair with no note. Was in a long white parcel, no return address but Craig Craig is written on the old postage label. I get roughly 18 parcels a day for repair and I can usually work out who's is who's... but not this one 🤷‍♂️

It had been repaired before by someone else.

If I take 3 hours out my working day, means less gets made.

Ive been working so hard on my new website shop!

I got carried away, made a million mistakes and fixed them. Ive learned lots 😂😂

I have most dog items up. More to come tonight, but I need a break for an hour before my eyes fall out.
Tomorrow I will add bridles etc.

I have been a saddler for several years and still love every second of it. Never once have I woken in the morning and dreaded the thought of work. I do believe work should feel like work if it is the right work! ​ There is something special about taking raw materials and turning a design from your head into a finished piece. A feeling I always get, time after time with every item I finish. Sometimes it can be overwhelming when you have designed, tweeked, re-designed, failed and tweeked some more when suddenly something has worked out better than you originally planned. I strive for perfection and cannot settle for anything less. Every stitch needs to be perfect and matching the previous one, every hole punched needs to be exactly the same size, in line and gentle as the others, every buckle or fitting needs to meet the quality expected as who doesn't want perfection? Nothing will ever leave my workshop unless I would personally be proud to fit it onto one of my dogs or horses. I will only use the best materials available. Italian leather of the finest quality, braided nylon thread for safety (linen available in mustard) threads which I wax by hand, British made solid brass fittings and pure wool HARRIS Tweed and Merino wool for saddle flocking. I hope you enjoy looking through my pages and designs. Everything can be made to measure for your individual animal. ​Johnny Morgan
