Rozi's sister, Willow, has had her beautiful pups in Adelaide with my sister in law Kerry, prefix name- Kerlouma. What a fabulous and proud moment after normal apprehension that comes with labour and birth. Well done to all, huge effort. 🥰 Beautiful pups 💛🖤

Ebony was a star at kindy today. All the kids had a pat and she was gentle and calm. She loved the attention. We sat in a circle and we talked about their pets and what Ebony likes to do and eat. Hamish loves Ebony as his favourite dog. She was a gem.

This time last year we had 1 week old pups..🥰 and this year we have a 1 week old baby - Rozi and Eb have been super gentle and respectful, still eager for walks but have coped with the new addition easily. I was reminded of the pups birthday (because I've been a little distracted!) by one of their beautiful owners and have out a few snaps of their gorgeous pup over the year.

Update # Planning a litter for 6 months time- Rozi's next heat in late Aug 2024. Rozi is in season now, so have decided we can prepare for pups towards the end of the year instead. (Very sorry for those who will have to wait another 6mths for this litter). We have decided to plan to mate Rozi and Jake next heat cycle for a few reasons- one being I am due with my 3rd baby- and I wanted to have more time to attend to a litter and pups, and also the weather will be better for pups. 🥰

Two different wkend getaways with our labs- feeling very fortunate! Both Robe SA & Cape Bridgewater Vic. There's nothing more special then taking your dog on holiday with you to the beach. I couldn't fault both of them- so well behaved, no whinning or running off, staying by my side and enjoying the beach walks and swims. The kids were harder to manage 😆 Ultimately labs just want to be with you-
We are still waiting on Rozi 🧐 to come on heat to see if the timing will work for an upcoming litter .. will keep you informed!

What a week! Ebony has been very busy and blessed with 9 liitle black puppies to love and look after (7 girls, 2 boys)! Ebony had a very long pre labour and labour staring Tuesday night and going all Wednesday until midnight!! She continues to snore from exhaustion between attentively feeding these noisy hungry pups, entering the classic busy post partum stage! Now recovering very well and particuarly proud of herself this time round. She is an exceptional mother with an enormous udder (being 3rd litter .. it's never quite the same 😆!) A huge thankyou to Jeff and Katelyn whose observation and support during this long labour was vital 🧡. All are being very well cared for- birth is nothing short of a miracle and we are blessed to see nature at its best.
