As we all know how the story goes, a new move means a new barn and I’m super lucky to have found a position with Rebecca Boone Dressage! As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, we know how hard it can be to find a barn that allows you to work and ride while also providing the flexibility for other career endeavors. I’m incredibly thankful that Rebecca has allowed the flexibility for me to pursue my photography career while also allowing me the time to work at the barn and ride. This kindness is not taken for granted and means a lot. It’s already been so fun joining this team and barn family! I’m thrilled to see what the future has in store for all of us and to see the growth we will all make! Here’s to the future and a new journey🖤

A little over a week ago I said my farewells to the amazing team at . For about a year and a half, I spent my time there as a part time groom and will forever be grateful for the journey. Windchase provided so much to me, that it is hard to find the words to describe how much of a privilege it has been to work there. I thank the team and horses every second for giving me a reason to keep riding and believe in myself again, even if they didn’t know at the time. Making the decision to move to Richmond, VA, and leave the team behind was absolutely one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. To say I’m lucky to have worked there is an understatement. Thank you to the team at for everything, I look forward to seeing them at shows!📸

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here so I guess it’s time for an update! For the past almost 10 months, I’ve been working at as a part time groom primarily for trainers and and have absolutely been loving it!

Without going into details, I realized that I needed a change in not only my career, but my life as well for many reasons. With that realization, I recovered my love of photography and knew I had to pursue this. However, I knew I couldn’t leave the horse world and needed to have some form of connection to it.

Luckily, through the help and guidance of family, a few very close friends, and people supporting me, I was able to find the position I needed. Working at not only gave me the opportunity to still be in the equine industry, but to also pursue my photography career in the music and equine world. (I have even been extremely luckily enough to work with the extremely talented photography team lead by the one and only .) Words can not describe the gratitude I have for Windchase and I truly don’t think I’ll ever be able to.

So to the crew at Windchase, the Erin team, the connections I’ve made in the music industry, my family, my friends, and anyone who has supported me this far, I thank you and owe you all a lot for being there for me. While I know this feels somewhat like a fever dream, I know deep down in my heart this is JUST the beginning and there’s a lot more to come. Therefore, stay tuned.🖤

The long awaited news has finally arrived!

I’m very excited to announce that I have accepted the position of barn manager and trainer at Daybreak at Loch Moy Farm in Adamstown, Maryland! This job opportunity is extremely exciting and filled with tons of potential! A week has already gone by which has been filled with future planning, getting the facility set up, and figuring out operations. While we are just getting started, I can already see the potential in this facility along with its people!

Daybreak is a boutique boarding and sales facility located right across the street from Loch Moy Farm. Having the ability to house 20 horses max, an outdoor/indoor arena, lounge, and location, this facility is the perfect setting for those who want a smaller stabling environment. Not only does Daybreak offer boutique boarding and sales, Daybreak also offers overnight stalling while traveling. Along with the overnight stalling, Daybreak has connections to housing located only 10 mins away from the facility; perfect for show season! Our facility is set for those who wish to have boutique level care for their horses but also wish to be in a more laidback, family setting where all are welcomed!

I feel very privileged and grateful to have been given this job opportunity in an area I’ve fallen in love with! Plans are starting to take action and I can’t wait to see the other plans come to life! Stay tuned as we begin to build up business and start doing sales! The future looks promising for Key Lime Equestrian at Daybreak at Loch Moy Farm!

It was bittersweet last week as I said my goodbyes to my clients, lesson horses, horse owners, barn owners, client’s horses, trainer, and Erie, PA horse community to start a new journey. This past year has brought so many memories and life experiences that have made me the trainer and riding instructor I am. The trust and faith that my people put into me was a privilege and honor, one I’ll never forget.

So rarely do you find a group of people who authentically want to support you and see you blossom. As a new trainer, it can be very daunting and overwhelming trying to figure out how to approach things. However, with the patience from my clients (mainly when I would try to figure out how to explain new concepts to them haha) and owners, along with the support from my mentors, I was able to grow so much. A lot of my career is owed to the Erie, PA horse community to which I will never forget and will always be thankful for.

While it was sad to leave my beloved hometown, I am excited for the new journey in Maryland! Stay tuned for the next post to see the next phase of Key Lime Equestrian and the experiences coming with it! And to my fellow equestrian Erieites, I look forward to making you all proud.💖

Ellie and I had the privilege to participate in a dressage clinic last week with Jenny Veenstra! Both of us had a fantastic time and Ellie and I walked away with some new skills, lessons, and an incredible ride! Overall it was a fantastic ride with the focus of relaxation, suppleness, and correct application of aids and Ellie’s response to them. Much thanks to Jenny Veenstra for the lesson, for hosting, and most of all Ellie’s owner Suzanne Lawlor, who also got to ride the second day and had a wonderful time(!), for allowing me to participate with Ellie!

It’s been a cold couple of weeks here in PA with freezing temperatures and snowstorms! With the drastic drop in weather, my riders have taken advantage of the time to expand their knowledge of horse care and learning more about horsemanship. Huge appreciation to all my clients who have braved the icy temperatures for the sake of education! Now that it’s getting “warmer”, it’s back to more consistent riding that we’ve all missed!

Photographed is Anne taking Joy’s heartrate through the digital artery, Katy stretching Hank’s legs, and Ellie owned by Sue Lawlor.

I suppose in another dimension there is a Hannah who does western dressage😆 So much fun hopping on Sue Lawlor’s Leo yesterday and giving him his first trail ride on the property. He’s definitely a great pony for her grandkids!💖
