I've been on a whale kick latley so here is another amazing clip of a humpback whale from the same whale watching trip! #humpbackwhale #whales #cetaceans #whalewatching
As you guys know, I am a zookeeper who works with and loves terrestrial animals. I love visiting zoos and state parks to see my favorite species. But one of my favorite activities involves leaving land and heading out to sea to observe some of the most amazing animals in the world, whales. Whale watching is one of my favorite activities as it reminds me how small I am and be in awe of such gentle giants. I am in the works of planning a whale watching trip sometime this summer. Possibly a video could be in the making??? #humpbackwhale #whales #whalewatching #cetaceans
Ostriches are truly something else! #ostrich #commonostrich #ratties #birds
The small carnivorous mammal in the picture for today’s question is none other than the fisher. Commonly called “fisher cats”, fishers are large members of the weasel family with quite the reputation. These carnivores are known for their voracious appetites and vocalizations often thought to be those of a screaming woman. Thanks guys for your participation in these quizzes. I’m going to be taking a hiatus from the quizzes to work on some bigger projects for the channel. It will also allow me more time to come up with more questions for the future. Thanks again guys! #fisher #fishercats #weasels #martens
Chester still isn’t sure about how much he loves water! #russiantortoise #tortoise #turtle #chelonians #reptiles
Most zebra species can be found living in two types of groups, harems and bachelor herds. A harem is lead by a stallion, several mares, and their offspring. Harems often will travel together forming massive herds of zebras. Bachelor herds mostly consist of younger stallions who have yet to establish a harem of their own. Like a harem, a bachelor herd is lead by a dominant stallion. #internationalzebraday #grantszebra #plainszebra #zebra
Happy International Zebra Day!!! Throughout the day you’ll get to learn some amazing facts about these incredible animals. Did you know that zebras can run up to 40mph? Zebras can run at this speed with great endurance to out run predators such as lions, hyenas, and African wild dogs. #internationalzebraday #grantszebra #equusquaggaboehmi #plainszebra #mountainzebra #grevyszebra #zebra
Who would have thought giant anteaters like to take showers!!! These bizarre looking mammals use their long sticky tongues to eat thousands of ants and termites at once. #giantanteater #anteaters #mammals #animals #wildanimals #wildlife
Chester as you can see is not a huge fan of baths. Despite this, bathing Russian tortoises like Chester helps to keep them clean and have a place to do their business 💩 🐢 #russiantortoise #tortoise #turtle #reptiles #herps #petreptile
Chester is hoping everyone is eating healthy during these tough times. #russiantortoise #tortoise #turtle #reptiles #herpetology #animals #wildlife
