Why are we here?

Without getting too technical about it, I propose that the simplest answer is “to love”. All religions and philosophies of any practicality point to this simple truth. Even science says this in its own way, that our ability to emotionally bond with each other is one of the main biological advantages of mammals – that love is logical as a survival mechanism.

And yet... existence is too spectacular to limit it to such sterile constructs of logic, as if knowing the names of the chemicals in a rose causes its aroma to be any less... beautiful. Love is the most beautiful thing we have, more beautiful than any sunset, and like a tenacious flower, it can be found in the unlikeliest of places.

Love is a beauty that transcends superficial aesthetics, brings meaning to one's life, and is a source of strength and inspiration beyond anything else.

And so... to have the honor to be loved by a dog – well – it's not something that should be taken for granted. I mean, sure, they're goofy, sometimes stinky, maybe loud or inconvenient at times... (although usually these behavioral issues can be addressed in simple ways)

Dogs?? Really?? These hairy four-legged butt-sniffing weirdos are really supposed to be some kind of ultimate gurus of love?

Yes, that is exactly what I'm saying.

Look, what I'm really saying is... We all want to smile, don't we? Have a reason to smile? To help others smile?

Dogs show us what's really important. They can teach us how to love better... That's... something incredible.

About the Happy Doggo eCourse:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Encouraging Loving, Fulfilling and Spiritual relationships with our fuzzy, four-legged companions based on the three core concepts of LOVE, RESPECT and COMMUNICATION.

"doggo" [ˈdôɡō] NOUN (informal): an affectionate term for a dog.

This eCourse delves into the following topics and more:

• Puppy & Holistic Dog Training Concepts and Practical Implementation of Fundamentals
• House\Potty Training
• How to get your dog to ALWAYS come when you call
• Socialization Techniques with Kids, Adults and other Dogs
• Often misunderstood signs that dogs use to communicate
• Comparison of contemporary training techniques
• Extra bonus techniques like how to teach your dog to not chase a ball into the road!
• Some overall philosophy of dogs, how dogs can enrich your life and help you to be a happier, more fulfilled human! (Note: Some of these concepts are a bit controversial and even a tad "mystical".)
• What it means to have a GOOD DOG, and how to accomplish that goal
• Dietary considerations
• General Health Considerations (Shots, Supplements, etc)
• Why talking to your dogs like people is not crazy... :-)

Dogs are a huge blessing! They are embodiments of unconditional love that can teach us so much about ourselves. They deserve the utmost appreciation! They aren't just robots meant to be programmed to do tricks for our entertainment. They are spiritual beings and should be treated as such.

Of course we want them to be well-behaved... And dogs HAVE to listen to their people for their own well-being. If a dog is about to run into the road and you say "STOP" the dog HAS to stop! There's no room for compromise when it comes to certain commands. But that's not about bossing the dog around or making them dance for treats!

This eCourse is all about how to nurture a profound connection with your canine companion, and how that connection is reflected in all aspects of your life. A happy doggo is a great indicator of the spiritual health your own life.

Applying these principles thoughtfully will help you develop trust and communication with your dog. This goes beyond just training. Having a "good dog" is such a delight - a dog that listens when you need it to, but more importantly, is able to fully express the love that they came to this planet to teach us.

That's what the Happy Doggo eCourse is all about.

About the Course Creator:
I've been a dog lover for almost 30 years! During that time, the philosophy of dogs has become a huge passion for me. I've read everything I could on the subject and have studied the masters and implemented a lot of theory, as well as developed my own insights.

Over the last ten years I've become more serious about this work, taking on clients and evolving toward a holistic approach to dogs as Spiritual Beings. My approach has been influenced by Taoism, Buddhism, Shamanism and other philosophies and mystical practices.

That may seem a little unconventional for what is essentially is a dog training course, and... it is! But that's why I feel that there is a contemporary need for this evolving perspective, taking into account all of the wisdom (including folk) the world has to offer.

-Ian A. MacKenna

There is a spiritual concept in Hinduism and Buddhism called "Dharma" which translates loosely to "Righteous Duty". There is a Dharma to dogs, a Yoga, which can enrich your life tremendously...
