If anyone is looking to open their home to rescue a dog this holiday season, the Prince George Animal Shelter has a TON of great dogs. Especially the “Terrier Mix/Pitbull type dogs” which are NOT allowed to be adopted by PG county residents. They’ve waived adoption fees until 12/31 and do same day adoptions! They have 30 dogs on the URGENT list. Please help if you can!

It was a puppy party yesterday! We performed nail trims on 10 gorgeous English Springer Spaniel puppies. They are adorable and their mom has done such a good job taking care of them.

Rico is an almost 17 year old Yorkshire Terrier. He was Sit Stay’s very first patient (late March 2023). About a year ago, he presented to the ER with kidney failure. He also has a history of cardiac issues, Cushing’s disease, and high fear and stress at the vet (including requiring a muzzle). He was discharged days later in better shape, but required some special care at home: monitoring, fluid administration, and several oral medications. His prognosis was not great due to his age and co-morbidities. But his parents continued to believe in him and gave him the very best everything possible. They cared for him at home and called Sit Stay to help with his several medical orders from discharge. Just call him “Rico the super dog”, because here he is one year later giving kisses to Natasha. He is such a special boy and we are so proud of him!
