Bo, week one PART 1…
Remember, Bo has the bite history in the home, terrified of storms, won’t go in walks and so much more. I’ve been pushing him this week because I Know he can do it!!! Watch his reaction to a car. Dangerous is an understatement! I did punish the behavior and you can see the change afterwards.

I’ve never started a dog in less than 2 days of being with me for training on the e collar, but he really needs it. Nothing exciting but this is where we are right now and you usually don’t get to see me finding the dogs lowest working level. Remember, Bo has already been to a purely positive trainer and a behaviorist and both have failed him. Let’s do this!!!

Everybody meet Bo, 4 yr old border collie. He arrived tonight for our behavior modification program. Bo is a biter with multiple bites in the home. The owner has already been to a purely positive trainer and a behaviorist with thousands already spent on failed training and medication. He also resource guards, barrier aggression in the crate, terrified of storms , just to mention a few. He’s had 4 years to practice these behaviors with no punishment to show him, these things are unacceptable. We have a lot of work to do so stay tuned.

Always sad when the dogs go home! I sure will miss Kevin. It’s been a long road for sure, but I’m very pleased with where he is. Now it’s time for the owners to be the leaders that he needs. So thankful they chose me to train this beautiful boy!!!

Finishing up week 3 with Kevin. If you have followed along since the beginning, I hope you can see the progress he has made. Every day is a challenge for him but we help him through it. We really started pushing him this week because our relationship is strong and he trusts me. That doesn’t mean he not scared at times, but he trusts me to help him overcome. You can see in this video that he’s thinking more clearly and that is huge! So proud of Kevin. Oh, where’s the reactivity when he sees the other dogs?????

Just when I thought I had heard it all!!!!!!!!!
Owner took his leash reactive dog to a purely positive trainer and one of the techniques they suggested he do, is to bark at his own dog when he reacts at another dog. WHAT????? These are the kind of idiots that are out there taking advantage of people!!! Do your homework people!!!!!

Kevin ,Monday week 3…Now this is what real e collar training looks like. I conditioned him to the stimulation last week and this is the goal we were shooting for…When you can communicate with the dog 100 yards away through the e collar and they fly to me like this, using NO words, it tells me he truly understands what it means. I’m so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!
