My dehydrator got in a good workout this afternoon making treat toppers for the pups. Tomorrow the girls will help dip biscuits in white chocolate and top with dehydrated bananas, strawberries, sweet potato, liver, apple leather, and egg shell. The dogs will definitely enjoy these!

While my youngest was playing in the water with some of the dogs, my oldest was in Dixie’s shady oasis 🤣🤣🤣 Dixie by far is the most spoiled dog at The Boneyard.

It’s been the busiest of mornings today but I was still able to get some time with Rooster. This starts the last week of his time here at the Boneyard. We are going to miss the little Roo. Jericho and Rahab will continue educating this little boy for the next few days.

Well I think I’m going to call it. I believe Leah reabsorbed/spontaneously aborted. OR is having a singleton. She’s due the 8th and I was expecting to see some obvious development, she had some good signs around day 30 and even day 45 was looking good. This last week however all her signs of pregnancy have begun to clear. She will have an x ray monday to confirm my thoughts. For all those waiting on her pups, I’m sorry, I know that’s hard to be waiting, then not get a puppy. Unfortunately nature does what it wants sometimes. I’ll be messaging individually after x ray.

Prepping for round 2! Rooster got booted from the whelping pen and is going strong on his first night solidly in the kennel. Leah isn’t showing yet, I’m suspecting a small litter; but I do think it took. We will schedule x rays beginning of next week. Pulled everything out today, disinfected, scrubbed, washed, and it’s almost ready. I’m so excited!

What a whirlwind the last 4 months have been! Y’all got to watch your puppies grow for 2 months, but I got to stress over the health and well-being of the mamas for 2 months prior during pregnancy. To say it brought me joy to meet all of the families taking home our puppies is an understatement. You all are absolutely the sweetest people and I can’t wait to see the journey you go on with your hounds. I hope everyone is settling in nicely! Here’s some pictures over the last couple months, just in case you forgot how itty bitty your babies were! 🥰🥰🥰 if you have a moment would you consider leaving us a review on FB under the review tab. We are down to 2 pups left! We said goodbye to Keturahs litter this morning and I am so excited for the puppies to explore their new homes and meet their new families. Thank you everyone who picked up their puppy today! It was so nice to meet you all. Have a safe journey home, we can’t wait to see pictures as the puppies grow!

We are the Boneyard 😊 I realized the other day that I need to be better about introducing myself, because although I know who I am, when you message us, you are just messaging “The Boneyard Country Kennels”. So here’s some pictures of us! I’m Emmily; the one who chats with y’all, updates y’all, takes care of the day to day, etc. My husband, Brandon, hunts our hounds and helps socialize the pups. And our Kids who have a hand in everything and are amazing helpers.
I don’t and won’t share too many pictures of the kids because let’s face it, this is a public page and there are creeps out there. But I do believe if you are paying good money for a pup who should know who you are working with.
I was a primary care and emergency veterinarian technician for 10+ years, a licensed animal control officer, and a certified dog trainer. And though I no longer work in the field, I do continue to educated myself and keep up to date with modern veterinary medicine. We also work with a great local vet in all our needs. Now I fill my time homeschooling our children and running the Boneyard (my dream for the last 17 years) with my husband. We hunt together, raise the pups together, and fully love and enjoy the American Bluetick. In our opinion there is no better or more beautiful breed. This is a family business and each of us pours our hearts into our dogs. Although I do have to mention our oldest kiddo is a cat person 😂😂😂 we don’t hold that against her though 🤣🤣

Just got accused of being a puppy mill, I’d be offended if it weren’t so absurd 🤣🤣🤣 puppy mill breeders don’t care about the health of their dogs or puppies..

To add here’s what they said: I don’t have the exact wordage because they removed the conversation/blocked us on the Good Breeder App before I could screenshot but…. “I’d like to know more about the health of your puppies. Frankly, you have a lot of puppies and I don’t want to buy from a puppy mill.”

If you start a conversation this way, and baselessly imply we do not care for our dogs, or love them, then. No, I am not going to waste my time answering your questions. Nor will I provide you with any additional information, it’s not worth my time.
