Yesterday we went to a new place...

Four Fields can be accessed from Lon Fferm Felin.

The fields are accessed via kissing gates at one end and are largely secure (although as with any other public space it's security is dependent on other dog walkers etc.)

This is a lovely big space where Bud was able to run free, Ollie was able to make the most of his long lead and the dog we borrowed (Bertie) had lots of places for sniffing.

If you are looking for an exciting walk then this probably isn't the place for you... but if you are looking for somewhere chilled and relatively quiet (not many others around) give it a try.

BTW as we had three dogs with us we failed with the pics so below is one from Google!

Bud here!

Not happy. I heard my mums talking and it seems that they went to our favourite cafe (K9 PLUS 1) without us. It's worse than that though, they took one of our friends...

If I find out he got given one of Uncle Gary's sausages that's it...I'll be chewing the whole phone & not just the case next time...

Recently Buddy and Ollie went on holidays to Knighton.

If you haven't heard of Knighton - it is a small town on the border between Wales and England. Knighton has to be one of the most dog friendly places we have visited for some time.

We stayed at the rather beautiful Panpwnton Campsite (on Panpwnton Farm) - whilst we stayed in one of their delightful bell tents (shown above) you are also able to camp there. The owner of the site (Roxy) was patient and understanding with our rather loud labradoodle and was keen to ensure all of our needs were met. The site is popular with backpackers so there are some fantastic toilet and shower facilities (in the process of being completed) as well as a fridge, kettle and power-points in the washing up area for customer's use.

Please note this is a working farm so it is important that any dog owners are mindful of this as there are sheep around (whilst on a different field they were moved via the site on one of the days we were there).

From Panpwnton it is a nice straightforward walk to the town of Knighton, along the river bank (Buddy & Ollie both made the most of the opportunity to have a paddle). You can also take your pic with one foot in Wales and one in England (see photos)

Whilst visiting we ate at The Horse and Jockey Inn we would highly recommend it for a warm welcome, dog friendly service and delicious food.

We also visited Tower House Gallery - again we would highly recommend as we had an exceptionally warm welcome (and Rhi who served us was clearly a big animal lover herself). They do lovely food as well as having a very impressive tea menu. This is not just a tea shop though as it is also a gallery with lots of art works, books, cards and local crafts to purchase!
