We are sad to share the news of the passing of retired K-9 Murphy. K-9 Murphy was partnered with Officer Keith Cooper. Officer Cooper was the School Resource Officer for South Redford Schools and K-9 Murphy was a fixture at Thurston High School and throughout the District. K-9 Murphy protected the Township and the students through his tracking and narcotics detection skill.

Those who knew K-9 Murphy knew he was a big goofball who enjoyed working and loved his toy. K-9 Murphy retired and spent his golden years with Officer Cooper and his family.

You were a good boy and a great partner to Officer Cooper. We will miss you!
