Great news from Quebec ~ we have a new Champion!🥳

Team Lewis has been busy this summer, earning 4 new titles!🤩 We are so proud of Lewis, Amelie and Laurianne for their hard work in earning his CKC Rally Novice, Dock Master, Canine Good Neighbour, and lastly his Championship!! It's just the start for this great team🥰 The best is yet to come!

The past month has been action packed!

We attended the Skaha Kennel Club show in Summerland, BC over the September long weekend. It was hot, with great company and lots of laughter! We were pleased that our crew earned more points towards their Championships and Grand Championships🌟

Then we trekked it out to Mortlach, SK for the Brittany Club Of Canada Field Trial. Adrienne judged the Amateur Shooting Dog and the Derby, and Maxine ran Suzie Q in Puppy, where she earned 3rd place!🥉After the trial Vinci, Kane, Pluma and Suzie Q got to hunt it up in the Saskatchewan praire🪶 It was a blast!

Kane has been having a great summer!
We are super proud of the recognition he has received the last couple of months🥰

In July, at the GSPCC Regional Specialty Show on Vancouver Island, he was awarded Best of Opposite S*x.
A couple weeks later he finished his Water Dog Junior title at the BCABPC water tests!💦

In August, we showed Kane at the GSPCC National Specialty Show, the Westwind Sporting Dog Specialty, and the 4 days of Alberta Kennel Club all breed shows in Okotoks, AB.
We are truly proud of Kane for winning Best of Opposite S*x and Best Pointing Dog at the 2025 National!!🥳🎊🥂
Kane made the cut at the Westwind Specialty - in the thunder and downpour rain!⛈ At the all breed, he made the cut Friday and was Select Dog on both Saturday and Sunday. Monday he was awarded Best of Opposite!
We were so pleased with all the great candid photos of Kane from this trip that we got them all🤩 (unfortunately his National win photo did not turn out)

Next stop, hunting season🧡

We made it home from our trip to Okotoks, Alberta for the GSPCC 2025 National Specialty. We only took 3 shorthairs with us for the show weekend and they made us very proud, being awesome travellers and all around good dogs - handling the intense weather and MUD!!

Kane🩵 was awarded Best of Opposite S*x and Best Pointing Dog at the National!🥳🍾🥂
He got better each day, making the cut Friday at the all breed and Saturday at the Westwind Sporting Specialty. Saturday and Sunday he earned Select at the all breed, and Monday he was awarded BOS.

Mabel💖 won Best of Breed at the Westwind Sporting Specialty and made the cut in the group🎉 Mabel made the cut at the National, and also Friday and Sunday at the all breed. Monday she was awarded Select at the all breed.

Back in May, we took Mick to 2025 GSPCA Nationals in Longview, Washington. He had a blast showing all week in veterans❤️‍🔥
Mick earned an Award of Merit at the National Specialty from the Veteran Dog 8-10 years class🥳 Thank you breeder-judge Lucretia Coonrood! Mick also won the Stud Dog class with his daughters Mabel and Collins.
Mick won 2nd in the Veteran Dog 8-9 years National Sweepstakes class. Thank you breeder-judge Kahla Ennis!

At the GSP Club of Washington Specialty at the start of the week, Mick won 2nd in the Veteran Dog 8-9 Sweeps and 2nd in the Veteran Dog 8-10 class behind our Hugo. Thank you judges Khris Bonner and Alessandra Folz!

Charlotte made us very proud during 2025 GSPCA Nationals week by winning an Award of Merit under breeder/judge Lucretia Coonrod at the National Specialty💖 Charlotte also earned an Award of Merit at the start of the week at the GSP Club of Washington Specialty, under sporting judge Alessandra Folz

Last week we attended the Vancouver Island Dog Fanciers / Victoria City Kennel Club shows - our dogs and their owners made us very proud! We had a lot of fun🥳🍾🥂

Mabel topped the week by winning the Sporting Group 4 out of the 5 days - with a Reserve Best In Show!!! - plus a Group 2nd, and Best In Specialty Show at the GSPCC Regional💙🤍❤️

Lukas and Tillie both earned points towards their Championships! Lukas also enjoyed taking a spin in Juniors with his new friend Rowan🥰

Nootka (Select at the Specialty), Vinci and Sparkle all earned points towards their Grand Championships! Tia and Oaklee looked great😍

Kane (BOS at the Specialty) and Kestrel (AOM at the Specialty) earned points towards their Grand Championship Bronze’s!

Sapphire, the English Cocker, earned points towards her Championship!

We also enjoyed attending the 2-day “Under the Gun” seminar by sporting specialist and Judge Frank Kane (UK) following the show.
Vinci and Nootka were used as field demo dogs for the pointing breeds and had a ball (despite the cooking hot weather!). Mick, Kestrel and Sapphire were used as conformation demo dogs for their breeds.
It was a fantastic seminar!

Happy news! This past weekend, 13-month old Lewis earned 2 Q's in Rally Novice with his owner Amelie🤩

Earlier in May, Lewis made his US debut at the 2025 German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America National Specialty Show, where he was also in the ribbons🌟
Lewis was 3rd in the 9-12 Puppy Dog class in the National Sweepstakes, and 3rd in the Intermediate Dog Futurity Class! Thank you Judges Kahla Ennis and Tina Craig for the awards.
Lewis was also awarded 2nd in the BBE Puppy Dog class at the National under Judge Lucretia Coonrod! What an honour!🥳🎉

We are so proud of Team Lewis - Congratulations Amelie and Laurianne! This is just the start of your success, we are sure🧡
