Are you ready if your horse needs to be evacuated? With the current Fire Weather Warnings, we wanted to share a few reminders .

Is your truck fully fueled up and hooked up to your trailer?

If you cannot haul your horse, have you reached out to family and friends who can?

Do you have your horses Emergency Preparedness Kit ready to go?

Do you know where you would be taking your horses if you need to leave?

We encourage everyone to know the answers to these questions BEFORE evacuation levels are issued. You will have plenty of other things to figure out if that happens.

Be careful and keep yourself and critters safe!

I just want to thank everyone for this opportunity to do something that I've been literally waiting to do for years now. I have never dreamed that I would draw a horse that so closely resembles my first horse that was a flaxen chestnut Arabian mare that started my love for horses and yet still have a full blue and partial blue eye just like my paint mare that has grown with me through 4h, OHSET and many other adventures that we have been on. Iris had far exceeded my expectations this weekend as I honestly had panicked that she was going to blow up on me since I hadn't taken her anywhere to give her the extra experience of being around other horses in a show environment much less being around a ton of strangers and noise. My little 2 year old proved me completely wrong and took on all of the challenges I thought would honestly would freak her out. We placed 15 out of 20 due to me making a couple of pattern errors but I couldn't have cared less. I'm just completely proud that my little 2 year old did everything and more that I asked of her. Special thanks to our sponsors and friends that have helped us along the way and the Teens and Oregon Mustangs for the opportunity to get to know and compete with almost 100 other amazing competitors and their horses (even those that couldn't make it this weekend). Here's a photo from the 1st day to the contest with Iris. Many more adventures and memories are to come. 💙

Iris was snoozing when I went to check on her tonight. 💙 She didn't even realize I was standing behind her until I called her name and she wanted more dinner. Lol

Here is our trail class video :) I may have forgotten to trot a section but Iris did very well for her first actual trip somewhere else. Being a 2 year old with no hauling experience to other arenas or being around 80ish horses/donkeys realistically in such a big environment. She's been such a good girl and had far exceeded my expectations.
