We’re so proud to showcase our incredible graduates from Canine Circus School! From our wise elder, 👑Laefa, to our playful pup, Maze 😈, each of them has learned the art of performance under the expert guidance of the amazing Francis Metcalf. 🌟

It’s been a little tricky to place him because people like to think of our dogs as rock stars (which they are) but Remus is more like a solo folk singer. He’s got a few quirks and maybe he’s a bit of an oddball, but if you’re into his music—he’s amazing! In other words, he’s not exactly a party animal—but he’s no party pooper either! Remus has lots of hobbies and interests, like hiking, learning new tricks and practicing nose work. He’s talented too—in his very first nose work competition, he came home with loads of ribbons! 🏅 He’s also a total goofball, and we wouldn’t have him any other way. ❤️

What a day today was! Despite heavy rain and showing indoors, Maze (Garmr’s Ascension from H3ll v Dun Roman) was awarded WB in her first show at 6 months old. Not to be outdone by her grandmother, Maze made sure to bring the fire and follow in Queen Laefa’s footsteps by winning at her debut! We’re very excited about our spirited girl’s bright future. She’s the second AKC pointed from our Santos x Kai’sa litter, with their littermate Thora close behind.

Thora (Garmr’s Alectrona) also made her debut today and was awarded RWB 🎉

Thank you to judge Clay Coady and the Sacramento Kennel Club for finding our beautiful girls today!

Yesterday was a very special (and busy) day celebrating Queen Læfa’s 9th birthday! Læfa makes the world a better place and continues to epitomize what a Corso can and should be. Anyone who’s met her knows that she lights up the room and instantly gains your respect and adoration. She’s the perfect ambassador for the breed (she has fans around the globe) and has shown people who were skeptical of the breed just how amazing they can be.

Whoever came up with the saying that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks never met Læfa or a Corso. Over the last year she has earned a heap of titles and accolades to her already long list of achievements. Since turning 8, Læfa has earned: Trick Dog Intermediate and Advanced, CGC (she earned this with her favorite human, Jennifer Costantinidis), FitDog Bronze, Rally Novice, Intermediate, Advanced AND Excellent, as well as being named the CCAA 2023 Veteran of the Year. On top of all that, we are still running agility. Some of her prior accomplishments include:
• 2022 CCAA Grand Champion
• 2021 CCAA Breeder’s Cup Invitational Winner
• 2021 #10 ranked Corso (with limited showing)
• 2020 Westminster Best of Breed
• 2019 #5 ranked Corso ( #2 bitch)

We can’t say enough about her – she’s such a special animal. Læfa has accomplished more in 9 years than most humans do in a lifetime, and she’s far from done. We got her solely as a companion; little did we know how much she’d change our lives forever and become such an icon for this breed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to her breeder Peter and all the breeders behind her.

Today Queen Læfa received the honor of being named and awarded Veteran Cane Corso of the Year for 2023 by the CCAA. This is by far one of the most meaningful awards she has received, which includes a WKC BOB win, a Breeder’s Cup win, remaining highly ranked in the Top 10 multiple years, and more. That, at almost 9 years old, and she is still in competitive condition. This is a testament to her breeder Peter Cargasacchi and her amazing mom Kristina who is 100% committed to keeping Læfa young and in shape. Once a dog is retired, many people take their foot off the gas, but Læfa has much more in the tank and is loving every minute of it.

We are beyond proud of our girl. Not only is she our foundation bitch, she is our first Corso ever - she completely converted us to Corso people and is a wonderful ambassador for the breed💯

Special thank you to our incredibly supportive Team Bi***es (Jennifer Costantinidis Betty Jo Pyle Risha Isom), and to the CCAA for all the work they do for this wonderful breed.
