Our little Chi girl is such a trooper! 🥹

She is in ICU recovering and doing very well. Her respiratory rate and effort are normal and her heart function is very much improved already. No news overnight is good news. We will update everyone in the morning. 💕

Update 4:15pm - Big sister is out of surgery and in recovery! They will call again when she is awake. She was a bit hypotensive in the OR so they will monitor her blood pressure overnight, but other than that surgery went great. 🩷

BIG SISTER IS HAVING SURGERY TODAY! 🙏🏽

UF will call when they're heading to anesthesia. They should be going to surgery relatively soon. Surgery comes with many risks, but she has no chance at life without it. Please keep this tiny girl in your thoughts and prayers!!

We have been APPROVED for a $5,400 grant! 😭🥹🙏🏽

While this covers almost all of the surgery, with what we've spent so far and the $5,4000 grant, we still need to raise an additional $1,000 for surgery.

UF would like to opperate tomorrow, but we need to raise the remaining funds first! And fast!

We are looking for 100 people to donate $10 or 50 people to donate $20. Any amount is greatly apprecited! I am hopeful we can make this happen by morning. 🤞🏽🙏🏽

We have a potential plan for big sister, but we may need help. 🙏🏽

Big sister has a severe PDA. She is not a candidate for the minimally invasive surgery due to her size. She must have the more extensive surgery and we've been given a $4,000-$6,000 estimate. She is smaller then recommended for surgery, but given the state of her PDA the sooner she has surgery, the better. UF can do the surgery as soon as tomorrow or the following day.

We have applied for a grant and we're patiently waiting to hear back... 🤞🏽

If we get denied, we've got some serious work to do... 🙏🏽

This kiddo here is feeling MUCH BETTER. 🙏🏽

Big brother, WHO IS ACTUALLY BIG SISTER (clearly s*x was the least of anyone's worries with how sick they were), spent the night at UFSAH last night. She received a full cardiac work up and UF discovered a PDA during her echocardiogram. Big sister needs open chest surgery to repair the PDA in her heart. Humane euthanasia is also not wrong and not off the table entirely. We are currently waiting to hear from the surgery team at UF to give us a better game plan and estimate so we can see if surgery is even an option going forward. Big sister finally ate overnight and has made some good improvements with medical management. Unfortunately without surgery, her life will be short lived. 😢

We will update when we have more information on big sister! At this time, I believe little brother will be just fine. 🫶🏽

I sure know how to find the sickest dogs ever 😭

Yesterday, we were mainly concerned with the white and brindle puppy, but today the tables have turned..

The black puppy is currently in active heart failure. He has a 6/6 heart murmur and is not eating. Recommendation is to take him to UF in Gainesville for a full cardiac work up, ASAP. LIKE RIGHT NOW. We were quoted $2,000-$2,500 for his initial work up. His prognosis is poor, but there may be more we can do for him with more information. As of now we don't know why he is in heart failure.

The white and brindle puppy has been admitted to UF PETS in Ocala. He is doing okay, but his prognosis is still guarded. His estimate is $1,200 for 24 hours worth of care.

We knew these guys were sick, but we had no idea they were THIS SICK. We have until this afternoon to raise the funds for these kiddos, otherwise we will have to let them go. Regardless of funding, euthanasia is sadly not wrong for either of them at this point.

💔‼️ 911 - URGENT HELP ‼️💔

We are currently hauling ass to the ER. The little white and brindle puppy's glucose has tanked again and I woke up to him seizing. He cannot stand and is extremely lethargic. Ideally he, and maybe even his brother, should be admitted to the hospital for ongoing care and dextrose supplementation. We cannot admit these two dogs without your help!!!

We need $2,500 STAT! We do not have the extra funds to keep going. Please help us help them. I don't think they're quite ready for euthanasia just yet. 😭

BEST NEWS POSSIBLE FOR ALAN 🎉

First of all, puppies are STOIC AS 💩
Rescue has taught me that these animals are sometimes capable of far more than we think they are. Give them a chance, because half the time they will prove you wrong.

Alan, who likely needed an amputation weeks ago, may now have a chance to keep his leg. His radiographs are still not normal, but have made a lot of improvement. At this point, he has a 50/50 chance of keeping the leg or amputation. There are pros and cons to both options and there truly isn't a wrong decision. Considering Alan's infection has cleared, he has regained circulation and muscle control, and is using the leg pain free with no issues, we've decided to just wait and see what happens. Alan has another recheck in 4 weeks and we will reassess at that time. 😊

Alans bill was cheaper than expected and just shy of $160. We feel blessed to be able to take our dogs to facilities like UF to ensure they receive the best care possible. We're able to do that because of you. Thank you! 🫶🏽

Stu is on my radar again.... 👀

He seems to be breathing okay, but he is definitely crackly and congested. We currently have him (and his friends) in the incubator getting a nebulizer treatment. We are hoping this helps and we are not making a downward trend. I really don't think we can do another Ellie Jr. 🥴😮‍💨
