This is worth another look. It has now been 23 years since Cally's last litter and since this was written 11 of the 12 new Versatile Champion pudelpointers have descended from her! To date, 42 of the 54 total pudelpointer Versatile Champions would not exist if it hadn't been for Bodo Winterhelt and Bob Farris collaborating on the litter which created Cally, 31 years ago!

Bob West is an absolute legend! As a member of the Board of Directors for the National Bird Dog Hall of Fame and Museum, he was instrumental in getting NAPPA recognized and placed in the Museum.

I had the pleasure of putting hands on and seeing these 17 NAPPA bred Pudelpointers hunt during a week-long quail hunt. It was a big group that ebbed and flowed and we split up quite a bit. So, a few of them I didn’t get a lot of time with. But, wow the dog power! As a breeder, this kind of trip is invaluable. Boots on ground with dogs from across the country hunting wild birds enable a broader prospective than test scores on paper. However, the test scores for this group are impressive also. Of the dogs that have tested at each level the averages are: NA 107/112, UT 200/204, IT 192/200
