Im gonna brag on this little filly right here! She’s a 4yr old Half Gypsy/Half Arab from Kristi Herbst that was not broke to ride before she came to our farm! BUT I put the first ride ever on this pony June 4th… it’s June 19th and this was her first show ever and I was shocked! 3rd out of a huge halter class and another 3rd in an Adult walk trot with 18 other contestants in with her!!! Then Finished with a 1st in a pony class!
But a good point to these awesome rides is that this is what our program is all about! (Starting them correctly) with the right fundamentals in your training, ground work, and how you go about your riding along with the ways of your training makes the good horses! This is a great example of an unstarted young horse that came to us and in 2 weeks she was performing!
Not all move along (as quick) because each horse IS different BUT with the right fundamentals!!;) she’s a great example of our work!

Say Hellooo to 🥀Gus🥀, 5yr old Foxtrotter gelding (Grade) We welcomed him to the farm Sunday evening! He’s about 14’3 hands, very classic looking and moves out in a nice natural gait and Built right to go all day!

Why should you always start with Ground Work?

Ground work is by far one of the MOST effective and efficient steps to getting a horse to not only gain trust with you as their rider, but to also build their confidence. When working with any horse, ground work is the first step, which is understanding your horse and how their mind works from different aspects. Each and every one is different from the last and the fun part about ground work is seeing how each horse learns and reacts, which allows us to base our work differently to fit that horse’s comfort and it teaches us new things and how to go about our training all at the same time! That’s the beauty and joy of it!
It should be an opportunity for you and horse to start the journey to understanding and working together to gain respect and confidence!

We are so happy to announce that 🌼Sunny🌼 has found his new and loving home with these amazing kids! He will teach them many lessons and be an amazing companion for many years, while getting all the kisses and treats from these kiddos!

What a way to end the 2023 horse show season at God’s Green Acres! The girls and horses all did amazing today, and everyone brought home lots of beautiful ribbons!! We love seeing the smiles and fun the kids have with the horses, it’s an experience that will never be forgotten!

What a day! These kids did amazing at the God’s Green Acre horse show today! Everyone came home with lots of ribbens, and a great experience! We are so glad we get to give these kids the experience of what horse showing is all about, Friends, Family, and Fun!! We are so blessed to have amazing horses that work with the kids and help us teach them what riding is all about!

We are happy to send 🌸Sierra🌸 home with Miss Maggie! After searching and waiting for months we finally found the perfect horse for this girl! These two will do great things together! Sierra was here for a two week tune up and lessons with Maggie so they could get to know each other! We wish you two many happy trails! Good things come to those who wait!

I am beyond proud of these girls!
They stepped up and put some big cowgirl pants on last night riding two young horses that have never been to a show before and rarely even off the farm and they completely put it in the bag last night at the Perryville Saddle Club horse show!
All These girls have worked very hard to condition and prepare for this show and boy did it pay off!
The smiles, the ears 🐴 and the ribbons should you that hard work and determination pays off well.
Can’t wait to see these girls continue competing and growing as a rider and a horseman!

Nora is a 7yr old grade quarter/Arabian mare around 14’2 hands.
She is supper sweet and gental, easy to catch and a Solid trail horse and walk/trott in the arena she will go anywhere you point her nose, rivers, mud puddles, logs, bridges. You name it! I have used her for a few lessons and long distance trail rides, she needs an intermediate to experienced rider who loves to ride!

Mr.T (Tony) is finally added to the farms herd!

We had a fast & furious, but very successful weekend of showing! Saturday we took the young horses to Hillsboro, and Sunday we were at Madison County, It was a weekend full of learning for both horses and riders, gaining experience, and having lots of fun. We are very proud with how far these riders have come and the confidence they have built in just sticking with riding and never giving up! Congratulations to all! Well done❤️
