We get asked what kinds of treats we give...
Early on we found that they *love* Tulip Poplar leaves, flowers, and branches, and they're all safe. We have many of them on our property and nearby, so after a storm like last night, we gather what came down.
This is today's haul - - 6lbs of leaves and branches that fillled an 18gal tote!

The winds from Tropical Storm Ophelia left us the biggest haul of freshly fallen Tulip Poplar leaves ever. In total, we got eight 5 gallon bucket's worth, which we passed out to the rabbits. Tulip Poplar is one of their favorites.

This rabbit hutch was built for the father of the new white kits. It was one of our many projects in which we repurposed used materials. Since then, the white buck has become less shy and has shown us exactly where he likes to be petted.

We saved this little kit at one week old and now he is three weeks old. He crawled outside the nest overnight and was very cold and barely breathing when we found him the next day. We revived him with an emergency warm up and warm substitute milk. A real miracle kit.

This is Ruby our White (Ruby-Eyed-White) Silver Fox doe. We brought her inside for her first litter b/c it was going to be 25 degrees at night. Ruby is very friendly and likes to be inside. She worked on getting her nest just right throughout the day. She ended up with a small litter of two prize black kits. A very happy Mama
