Sushi and Bernard, our Red Eyed Tree Frogs got an upgrade today! I think they like it. Also, Green Bean, our Whites Tree Frog appears to like his new neighbour's!

I am very much looking forward to this event! Family Matters was such a huge part of my life, when my kids were little, we always had so much fun and we all made friendships that we still cherish, to this day. If you have small children in the Annapolis County and have not connected with Family Matters, you really should!

Banana Bread and Stevie are getting ready to go celebrate a special boys birthday today! We feel so lucky to be able to teach people about these amazing animals, especially today, on International Wildlife Day!

Wow, it's been a while! Sushi, Bernard and Froderick (and the rest of the crew!) have very much enjoyed their down time this winter. But, like all good things, it will come to an end! The days are getting noticeably longer and our weekends are starting to book up! If you are looking for something a little bit different for a birthday party for any age group, a work function, nursing home (honestly, some of my favorite shows!) or school event, please reach out and see what we have to offer. Introducing one of our recent rescues, Todd, a 4 or 5 year old Red Tailed Boa. Todd came to us in the Spring as a very hungry fella, so he has been very much a work in progress. He has so much potential and is such a handsome little dude! We are slowly getting him more and more comfortable with coming out of his enclosure and being handled. If all goes according to plan, he will be out and about with us by next Summer.

Yesterday was take your child to work day for my oldest daughter's class. Honestly, that is everyday around here! We were busy cleaning tanks and bathing dragons. Not a bad gig!

It has been a while now, since I have introduced another animal ambassador. Please say hello to Naruto, our Bearded Dragon (Pogona Vitticeps). He was the first rescue we took in and definitely a favorite in programs!

I have two upcoming events next week, on Wednesday August 9th, first at the Kentville Library from 1-2 and then we will be off to the Berwick Library from 3-4. Pre-registration is required for both.

I thought I should take some time to introduce everyone to my crew that you will find us out and about with. And who better to start with (sorry, not sorry, to all you arachnophobs!) than the show opener herself, Itsy! She is a Grammostola Rosea, or Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula, one of nature's best pest controllers! They are quite a docile species and very common in the pet trade. Isn't she beautiful!

Welcome to Annapolis Ambre's Awesome Animals page! A quick run-down of who I am and what I do. I have been fortunate enough to have some pretty amazing jobs in my life, so far, where most of my co-workers are either feathered, furry or scaled. Some of my duties have included loading up my car with animal ambassadors and traveling around to large events, schools, nursing homes or even birthday parties, teaching people about these amazing creatures that we share this planet with. So, when I was approached by a few people asking if I would be willing to take my small collection of reptiles, amphibians and arachnids on the road, I could not turn down the opportunity. So, here I am! Only, this time not only do I get do what I love, I get to do it with one or more of my three children at my side. On this page I will post any upcoming events that are open to the public and many pictures of my adorable little crew!
