While I had hoped to share adorable photos of our available pets today decked out in valentines attire, I am instead getting ready to head out of state to be by my dying grandmothers side.

The rescue is in the amazing hands of my family who know how to handle everything as well as I do, so no worries there!

Please don’t think because we have not been posting often that we do not have animals that are in need of homes or fosters. We are overflowing and running off of fumes constantly. Maya (now Bailey) went to her furever home today! Annnnddd bonus!!! She lives right next door to her sister!

JellyBean is a 14 year old Boston Terrier with bad cataracts, who is nearly deaf and also the newest member of the Miles of Heart Rescue team via owner surrender. Super sweet boy who would love a senior sponsor!

On Friday we took custody of Luca. A sweet boy who just needs someone to love him forever! He’s going to need treatment for heartworms so please don’t hesitate to donate on his behalf! Taking pre-adoption applications now for him.

Also a bonus- he’s dog friendly and isn’t bothered by farm animals or cats!

Urgent need!!!

These dogs are alone in a home. Have been for about a week now. The owner is elderly and had to move in with other family. The home has no power and the dogs are alone 99% of the day until someone drives over 2 hours to give them food and water. They can no longer continue to drive and we are desperately seeking a foster for them, or adopter. They need out asap.

They are a male and female pair. Both fixed and house trained. They are not people aggressive and do well together.

Please share this post so we can get them help as soon as possible.

Update: foster found

Miles Of Heart Rescue has been contacted about this stray dog. We are unable to take her directly into the rescues care as we are beyond full, but the couple who found her are willing to foster..however they will be out of town from March 26-April 2nd and are hoping to find a temporary foster for during that time. The rescue would provide food for the week that they are needing help with. We just ask that all other pets in the home be fixed (as we assume she isn’t yet and will take care of that should we find a temp foster) and be updated on shots.

She is young, very playful, and shows no signs of aggression. Please reach out to me if you think you’d be willing and able to help. Thanks!

Should we find a temp foster this gorgeous girl will not be available for adoption just yet. She must be vetted and we’d prefer to search for possible owners for at least another week. However, if a foster is found who would be willing to adopt once she is able then they would have first choice.

Meet Maya and Lyla!

Not the greatest of photos as they were just too excited to be still, but these two sisters are ready and available for adoption!

They will be under 20 lbs full grown, currently around 5-6 months old. Current on rabies, dapp, dewormed, and fixed. They will also be microchipped prior to the adoption being finalized.
