A few announcements:

1.We have 2 appointments suddenly open up today! These are the last 2 Saturday appointments before Christmas.

2.We will be open the 22nd. While we are normally closed on Sundays, we are open specially for Christmas and have a couple of spots left.

3. We will be closed the 25th, 26th, and 27th to spend time with our families.

Happy Thanksgiving!! We are closed today and tomorrow to be with our families.This year we are thankful for:

🌟Starting the year with an amazing grand opening! We had like 50 people show up!
🌟Celebrating 5 years of being a business owner.
🌟 Amazing supportive cliets! That showered us with love, advice and gifts when they learned we would be parents.
🌟Our growing staff that kept the salon going while we were away.
🌟 1 wedding and 2 babies!!!

A few weeks ago I tried the baby in the pumpkin trend with Joseph and Ryanne. Well...... Joseph apparently felt that this was the most comfortable pumpkin in the world and slept through 15 minutes of me moving him, talking and taking pictures. 🙃 Ryanne was a pro and a natural model!

It's been 5 whole years since I decided to start my business. While it was a slow start and we continue to move mindfully and with thoughtfulness, I'm so glad and proud of where we are today! We have an incredible team, we have wonderful clients, and we continue to grow.

Happy Veterans Day! As some of you may know my little brother is an Army Veteran. I have so much respect for everyone that has ever served and their families that had to wait for their loved ones to return. I have so many wonderful clients that are veterans or family of someone that has served. Thank you all for your sacrifices. 💕

We are 6 weeks postpartum. At least once a week we get a message asking about the baby or someone is sweet enough to leave us a gift at the salon. Life is good. Baby Joseph is sleeping a little longer through the night and while we love every second... sleep is nice too. Thank you all for taking the time to check on us and thank you for showering him with love.

I'll be in the salon a couple of short days next week and a then the following week a few more. I'm working on the schedule to add myself in the rotation. If you want to make an appointment with me please just let Megan know when you call. I'm excited to start seeing some of my regular pups and people!

Who would have thought that this baby would be chatty like his mom.

I want to just say thank you to everyone that has showered our baby with love. It means so much to have a community of support that has taken the time to check-in on us and make sure we are doing okay. We appreciate every card, every gift and every word of encouragement and advice. Baby Joseph, was born on the 4th and was 8 lbs 7 oz. He is healthy, strong and opinionated.

We love being new parents but as you can imagine we are tired and learning a new routine. This week has been a little weird for the salon as the girls learn to manage without us. We appreciate your patience.

Every year in September, the largest grooming conference in the country is held in Hershey, PA. From the 5th to the 8th, Heather and Hailey will attend courses all day long that will help them on their path to be the best groomers they can be.

Hailey will earn her CPR & First Aid Certificate, an entry Skin and Coat Certificate, an Advanced Skin and Assessment Certificate and will take several courses on the newest techniques, tools and more.

Heather who has already completed some of these courses will take a Geriatric Grooming certificate course, Advanced Skin and Coat Assessment and will also take an additional 8 courses on technique, handling, product and tools.

Because both our groomers will be away we will only be open 10 to 3 Thursday to Saturday this week. Megan will be at the salon to make appointments or make necessary changes but no services will be offered. We will resume posted hours next week.

Of course the real update everyone is looking for...Daniel and I will welcome our baby tomorrow afternoon. This baby is projected to be a big boy so we've opted for a planned cesarean instead of risking any complications. Keep us in your thoughts!

As many of you know, Daniel and I are expecting our baby soon! By the end of next week we will be new parents and can't wait to meet our little boy. We would like to take the time to adjust and so have made the decision to close Sunday and Monday.

Up to this point Daniel or I would come in and answer the phone, book appointments, and sometimes complete services on our closed days.

In addition we have always had two phone numbers. One line to call and one line to text. We would sometimes pick up calls from the text line or respond at all hours, because they would go straight to our cellphones. We will no longer be able to do this. The line will continue to work as a text line and our new receptionist, Megan, will be responding during business hours, so please be patient.

It's National Dog Day! Cheers to all the dogs we've been blessed to know, and serve. Sending love to every pup that has helped us grow and filled our days with joy. Special thank you to Miss Barbie doll that makes every day exciting and Mr. Spike that made me who I am today. Without him, I may have never become a groomer, not to mention started a business where I've been able to meet so many amazing people and their loves. ❤️

Sad Saturday post:

I hate making posts like these but we've had a few last minute reschedules, cancellations and just no shows. I want to preface this by saying that we get it, we understand people make mistakes, forget or there are emergencies out of their control.

🐾What makes our salon special, and the reason so many people love us, is that we try to get to know every pet and give them individual attention in our kennel-free salon.

🐾The reason many groomers don't run salons like this is because we depend so highly on our clients to be on time and give us notice when they are not able to come in.

🐾Our policy is set as is because same day missed appointments do not give us much time to fill the appointment for the groomer.

🐾Groomers often work for commission which means if they lose that appointment and others that week they may face a loss in their pay that they cannot have.

🐾 Our salon also depends on the appointments as multiple lost appointments affect our ability to run the business and keep the groomers happy.

🐾🐾🐾 We don't want to become like every salon out there. We want to be able to continue to provide 1-on-1 services but we need clients to respect their appointment times and not laugh at our cancelation policy. Please be considerate of our small business and our dedicated groomers.

The salon will be closed September 5th to 9th so that Hailey and Heather can attend GroomExpo. This the largest educational seminar for Groomers in the country. They will both gain 3 certificates on geriatric grooming, skin and coat assessment as well as be able to attend a variety of different tutorial classes. We aim to always be a salon that is educated and can provide education to our clients.

At about the same, in just around 6 weeks, Daniel and I will have a newborn baby boy. I'm so thankful to everyone that has gotten us gifts and cards. All the kind words of advice and encouragement.

I really hope to see as many of my regulars before I go. We are in the process of hiring new people and want to make sure everyone can be accommodated. Please look ahead and book. Most of this month is full and due to the closure September is looking a little tight. We want to be here for you.
