New project colony in East LA. This is the colony with the bottle babies and kittens that were recently rescued. This colony has about 15 cats to TNR.
Yesterday a fellow trapper was able to provide two last minute appointments and I couldn’t turn them down. In less than 5 minutes the two were trapped.
I’m grateful to Jill for holding them and transporting them.
I’ll keep you posted on updates.

12/1/24 update - Brenda went to assess the colony and spoke to an elderly neighbor.

She’s going to help the kitten with ear injury but she needs pledges / donations to get the cat help

Please spay and neuter your pets

LA Animal Services wants to remind pet owners that spay and neuter resources, like free spay/neuter certificates and low-cost vouchers, are available to all Angeleos. The free certificates and low-cost vouchers may be found and downloaded at laspayneuter.com or are available for pick up at any of our six LA Animal Services Centers located throughout the City. Each household is eligible to receive spay/neuter certificates or vouchers for up to three dogs and three cats per household.

Happy Update 11/20/24. Kittens were picked up by Jasmine. She will provide medical care to the kittens and hold for a rescue until Saturday. We’ll provide updates and information on who to donate. Thank you 🐾 💕

🆘 🆘 Rescue and Foster Needed - they are outside. 2 kittens have disappeared. Others have been killed. 🆘
It’s a total of 4 kittens. I didn’t get a picture of the 4th one. It’s a ginger twin. East LA. Same colony as the bottle babies and the 15 cats to be TNR’d. I took the feeder eye medication, lysine, and food. I’m asking finder to take to SGVAA for a wellness check. She doesn’t have a car 😢. Will need help with transportation. Please help me find a foster and rescue. They are not safe outside 🐾 💕

🆘 Rescue and Foster Needed 🆘 East LA.
These kittens were dumped today. I dropped off formula, bottle, and heating pad with finder. They were starving. She can only hold for 1-2 days. We desperately need help. Please help me network!!!

This is a new colony. I’ll be teaming up with Jill to TNR 15 cats. I’ll also be doing a separate post for another set of kittens that needs a rescue.

📅 In October, the Neighborhood Coyote Program tracked coyote activity and shared updates with residents, including reports of coyotes with signs of mange 🐾—a skin disease causing itching, hair loss, and health issues.

Mange spreads through contact or shared dens, but affected coyotes aren’t more aggressive than healthy ones, and the risk to pets 🐶🐱 is low.

Keep reporting sightings to help keep our neighborhoods informed and safe! 👀📲

🆘 TNR help needed in Fontana / Rialto 🆘 These cuties showed up at a friend’s house. She doesn’t mind them hanging out in her backyard but she doesn’t want them to multiply. She’s limited in her mobility. Please let me know if you or someone you know can please help with TNR. Thank you 🐾 💕

I created these flyers a while back in a community awareness effort. I’ve also handed these to neighbors and others who feed cats. The flyer contains resources and tips for the community. Not everyone likes cats but it’s not an excuse to hurt them. Animal cruelty is against the law and should be reported. It’s important to respect everyone’s view. By feeding responsibility and fixing the cats we feed, we help to prevent the colonies from growing out of control. I hope this is helpful. Feel free to share it along 🐾 💕
