CLOSED TO NEW CLIENTS 💝 I’ve been avoiding doing this for so long as I love love having lots of new furry faces but it’s come to the point that I am just so booked up I can’t fit any of my regular clients in.

If you wish to go on a waiting list if I get any openings feel free to pop me a message and I can add your details onto it but for the time being I am now closed for new clients.

Thanks for keeping me so busy, this will hopefully mean for my regulars I should have a bit more availability but It is still advisable to have 2-3 appointments in ☺️

For those of you that didn’t know I use to offer pet sitting and dog walking but decided to focus all of my time and attention on dog grooming. However I miss seeing lots of different animals too so I have decided to start offering some slots of pet sitting again, mainly for small animals like cat pops ins/ small mammals but occasionally depending on availability dog pop ins also! I have years of experience with all types of animals after studying and gaining my diploma and also owning myself soooo many animals (cats, dogs, rodents, small mammals, equine, farm animals, aquatic and reptiles too) I am also trained to administer injections so can help with diabetic animals too. IT’s OUR 1ST BIRTHDAY 🎂 1 whole year of Joy Grooms 😍

I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I opened up and welcomed all of your amazing dogs to my salon! What a year it’s beeeeeen, time flies when you’re having fun 🤩 It feels like I’ve known you all forever and love each and every one of your babies so much! I’m so so grateful I get to spend everyday doing what I love so much. This wouldn’t be possible without you all so thank you thank you thank you, here’s to another year 🥰🥰

It is going to be super hot this week if you have no means of getting to but walking please please reach out to me, I am fully insured to do collections and drop offs which I would MUCH prefer to do then have any dogs walk in this heat. Keep those babies safe 😥☀️

I really am heartbroken to share that one of my amazing clients passed over the rainbow bridge yesterday. Winston came to me every 3 weeks and was always the best boy, I truly loved him so much, always ran in tail wagging and kisses. I feel so lucky I got to be his groomer and will miss seeing him so so much. Sending the biggest hug to his amazing owner who I will miss seeing so much too 💗 rest in perfect peace my lovely Winston 💖

📣Important salon announcement 📣 Please do read as this will affect some of my customers. Thank you and apologies for the long notice!

I firstly want to thank you all for all your support over the last nearly year of being open, it was a dream it would do so well but I couldn’t have possibly imagined it would have taken off like it has! 💛

After having a week off from the salon which is the first proper ‘holiday’ I’ve given myself since opening up I have realised that I unfortunately have to make some changes with how I run my business.

At the moment my next available appointment is the last week in September which is 12 weeks away. Most of my clients need 4-6 week appointments meaning you need atleast 2 appointments in. I am now unable to squeeze anyone in anymore, I absolutely hate letting people down which is why I overwork myself to make sure your dog doesn’t go past schedule however going forward from today if you haven’t booked enough appointments in you will need to arrange alternative grooming arrangements for your dogs next appointment. Those of you that have booked the year are fab!

Secondly, I will now be unable to groom your dog past their schedule. When the dogs come in even a week after their due appointment it’s more hair, more products, longer drying time, more styling time, more wear/tear and it’s also physically harder work. Your dogs also struggle more in their appointments which isn’t fair. Nearly all my clients and I have worked out the correct timeframe that works best for us all but if you want anymore guidance on this please feel free to reach out and I would be happy to assist you.

Lastly I have sadly had to make the decision to cut down some of my client base 😢 this hasn’t been an easy decision to make and there are various factors of why. This job is full on, working with live animals that are often quite anxious definitely has its downfalls and recently I have been bitten and scratched numerous times. I work alone and it’s becoming too hard to deal with some of these dogs on my own. I also believe some of them would be better suited in a different environments and somewhere with more than one groomer to facilitate them. I will of course help find suitable groomers for all the dogs I can no longer cater for. This is completely nothing personal to your dogs and realise these things are sometimes unavoidable, I’ve been grooming for so many years now and with having a young family my body is unable to do it anymore.

So just to summarise a few changes.

🐶 If you haven’t made more than 2 appointments I will be unable to accommodate you.

🐶 I will no longer be grooming any dogs off my recommended grooming schedule.

🐶 I will no longer be offering appointments to clients who come with repeated matting, lateness, no shows or with multiple cancellations on file.

🐶 I will no longer be grooming dogs that require 2 stylists or bite/fight/fidget to much throughout the grooming process.

Please know I haven’t taken this decision lightly at all as I have grown so attached to all of you dogs but I have to think what will work best for me and my business. I am organising my diary as we speak which will take a couple of weeks. I promise I will message to let you know of any changes that may affect you. If you don't hear from me your pre booked appointment is fine and I look forward to seeing you 😁

⭐ INTRODUCING BOB ⭐

The happy chappie you see before you is me, Bob! 😄 I am a 10-year-old miniature poodle seeking my forever home. In my previous home I was sadly not treated nicely by the other dogs 😔 so I would thrive in a home where I’m the only pooch- but I have lived with a cat before without any issues!

I can be a little nervous of new people but once I feel safe with you I am a loveable, bouncy boy 💙 I have recently had some trips to the vet and have got a bit of a heart murmur (it makes me extra special! 🤗) but my new owner should consider the possibility of medication for this condition in the future.

I am a very good boy on my walks and get bouncy when I’m excited. If I see another dog I do get nervous so my new owner will need to be patient and be able to fill me with lots of confidence to help me out 🥰

I have been trying to think of things I can do with all the dog fur I end up with, as you can imagine by the end of my working day my bin is so filled up. I have found a charity called Matter of trust, this charity use hair and fur to soak up major oil spills and help keep stormdrains and waterways clean. They rely on donations so I’m hoping every week I can send over a box of your wonderful doggies clean and clipped fur.

There goals are to help clean polluted water, to divert useful fibers from the waste stream, to provide recycling education and create green jobs. They accept donations of hair, fur, wool, and fleece clippings they then manufacture felted mats that soak up petrochemicals in stormdrains, wells, filtration systems, rivers and oceans.

I’ll attach some of the wonderful work they do so you can see, some of the pictures are from when a cargo ship collided with a corral reef and spilled an estimated 1000 tons of fuel into the Indian Ocean, the charity responded instantly sending hair matts to aid the oceans.

So thank you to all my lovely clients for bringing me your dogs, enabling me to give them haircuts and using there fur to help this amazing charity 🌍♻️
