As a pet sitter, I sometimes hear pet trauma stories. It’s horrible and heartbreaking at any level. I work very hard to make all the animals I care for feel safe, loved, and immensely spoiled while their families are away…but it is such a big victory when those who started out scared or unsure of me, end up showing so much love.
