The real story is, that all of Maggie’s pups were either stillborn, or died within a day and a half. None were sold, I just didn’t want to have any conversations about it, still don’t …but of course people want to see pictures. There aren’t any. My friend Jean and I fought hard to save them with bottle feeding, warming towels, and holding them pretty much 24/7. They were born too early and unable to nurse. Please don’t ask me any questions. There aren’t any real answers, and I just don’t have the bandwidth. Even autopsy would not likely provide any, nor would it protect us from the heartbreak. You are welcome to Google why an entire litter of puppies would perish from a healthy mother who’s had very successful and beautiful litters previously

It could have been tremendously hot temperatures forced her to abort due to the power failure and no air conditioning in my home. Too large of a litter likely contributed, there were 12 this time. She may have picked up a virus or bacterial infection in vitro… the possibilities are quite endless

I let her keep the last little boy and stay with him until she was ready to let go. At five this morning, she picked up her tiny lifeless baby and asked to go outside. She kept looking back to make sure I was coming as she carried him to the front yard where she chose his final resting place and started digging before leaving him there in her favorite spot to lie down under a pear tree in the shade. I back filled it for her and we walked together to go back inside. This did not provide her the closure I had hoped for. She watched me take down the welping box and checked to make sure no puppies were left behind. I thought she and I were about to get some well deserved rest, but she is currently tossing my home looking for the rest of her babies.

Meet Bennie, the puppies’ papa!!

A beautiful recent share from a family that loved their pup from Maggie and Bennie so much they decided to get a second! The little girl on the right is one year younger than her brother. Many of you ask if they only come in black… Some have white blazes and socks with a little white goatee from their mama. Sometimes they’re coal black with a little brown in places. Some are more of a reddish black all over. All have salt and pepper here and there. White never comes from the Soft Coated Wheaten side. They look like perfect morphs of waterdog and terrier, and can favor one side or the other, but they most look like each other! It is possible one could inherit their Mama’s chocolate brown coat, but unlikely. It’s a recessive gene.

Some people like their ears long, some short… actual ear leather is much shorter than what you can see on this guy!

Fun part… you can have them groomed like any favorite breed! Several are groomed like Porties. One little girl gets haircuts like her terrier father, and one of the boys is groomed to look like a schnauzer!!

Did you know Maggie’s pups come with a lifetime guarantee against genetic disease or defect?! They will know basic manners like sit, and come? They will be potty/crate trained?! I will do whatever I can to ensure your transition into puppy goes great!!

Maggie is very definitely pregnant this time!! Get your deposits in! This is the last litter of these amazing pups. Anyone who has one will tell you just how great they are. One family decided to get two… others have mentioned wanting a second one!! Maggie is my beloved pet, she has given us enough. This last litter will likely be born on the 10th, or 11th of September, and ready for their furever homes 10-12 weeks after that🥰

One year ago today was Bryan’s gotcha day. He’s a foster fail😂
I don’t think Uncle Bryan is new to puppies, but this fall we’re gonna find out!!
