This is not necessarily dog related but I felt that it was important to share. If you have a page of your own and you get tagged in something like this, please do not engage! They try to scare you into thinking that you’ll lose your account if you don’t act immediately. They have hundreds of accounts, some with the same name and some with similar variants. Look at all the random pages that they have tagged trying to scare them.

I have a dog page, that I admin, tagged today and I seen someone else post about this, today, also. It is a phishing scam and they are looking to steal your information! Don’t even click on the links, it could be dangerous.

PLEASE REPORT THE SCAMMERS

The more strikes that a page has against it, the better the chances are that Facebook will remove it. Facebook does not put any effort into removing the scammers, unfortunately, so it is up to the general public to report the fake accounts and inform others about them. It’s a daunting process, for sure, but if you can help just one person to avoid a scammer, you’ve done a good thing. A lot of people still do not know that these scammers exist and they certainly do not know how to spot the red flags.

SCAMMER ALERT: Here is another type of scam that the scummy scammers are doing. They will pretend that they have also been scammed so that an unsuspecting buyer will be able to “relate to them” and, ultimately, trust them. Always read the wording. If it is typed with poor grammar, misspelled words and/or just doesn’t sound “right,” it is a scam. The scammers also have a tendency to use the world “legit.” When you see this word, please be extra leary. These people DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. They only want your money and they will say and do anything to try to relate to you and get you to trust them so that you will send them a deposit.
