Salon Terms and Conditions

When your dog is with us, their health and welfare is our main concern at all stages of the grooming process. Should we believe your dog is experiencing any fear or stress at any time, we may require extra time to overcome this problem. During grooming, it is possible pre-existing conditions are noticed, which you will be informed of, in order you can seek veterinary a

dvice.

Extremely rarely accidents can happen whilst grooming, or medical issues can arise.
​-In the unlikely event of this happening you authorise us to seek emergency veterinary treatment. At our salon we operate strictly by appointment.
-This helps ensure a calm, low risk environment. The only time more than one dog is allowed in the grooming area is when they are from the same household.
-If you have two dogs, only one of whom is being groomed, and they are not used to being apart, the second can remain at our discretion. Time Keeping
​- Our appointment slots are timed to each individual dog, with a period to try and prevent any overlap.
​- If you are late, we may have to cancel the groom and reschedule. Pricing
- Prices vary and will depend on the following:
- The dogs coat is well maintained free from knots, matts, and tangles
- The dog is well behaved, shows no aggression and groomed at our recommended periods.
-The dog is not overweight or over-sized for the breed.
- Charges will be incurred for matted coats, those that are poorly maintained, or dogs with fleas. Payment can be made by card, cash or bank transfer. Cancellations and No Shows.
​- We appreciate that sometimes you may need to rearrange your dog’s appointment. if this is done with more than 48 hours’ notice there will be no charge.
-Any failure to show or cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice (except in extreme circumstances) will result in the half the fee being payable, and no further appointments been booked until payed. (We practice Humanity Before Vanity)
-Should a dog be presented with a matted or neglected coat, if our opinion is that it will be kinder to shave the coat back completely, this will be done in compliance with The Animal Welfare Act 2006 (Sec 5. – Animals are to be protected from pain, injury and suffering).
-This incurs extra charges due to time and extra wear and tear on equipment.
-In instances where the above is necessary, it can lead to skin irritation and other conditions.
-On some breeds the coat may not grow back in the same manner. Boop The Snoot Dog Grooming will not be liable for any effects which may arise from this. Aggressive and Poorly Socialized Dogs
-If a dog exhibits aggression or behavior we have not been informed of prior to the groom, the session will be stopped immediately, and half the fee incurred.
-We must be informed prior to grooming of any previous history of biting or aggression.
-Your attention is drawn to the dangerous dog’s act which holds owners liable for bites and Injuries. Please ensure your dog has toileted before attending their appointment to avoid any accidents. Grooming Feedback:
- After each session we will inform you of any problems we have encountered, or any concerns we have re your dog.
- This is the time to inform us of any concerns you have in relation to the groom.
-Most of our business is repeat custom, and we wish to maintain our standards and reputation.
- We often take pictures to show examples of before and after work and to use for training and information

Guys, I'm having some issues with my card reader. Which some of you are aware of after waiting around for years for it to connect😅

I know we've just entered August and your all enjoying the sun and summer holidays but Christmas will soon be here and I thought I'd remind all my regulars to book in as soon as possible.

Throughout December bookings your pup will receive the following -
•Festive shampoo & Colgone 🍪
•Festive photo if your dog cooperates😅
•Festive Goodie Bag (subject to availability)🛍

If your appointments are between 7-8 weeks, that works out at just THREE appointments until Christmas 😱

My last working day is Saturday 21st December and i dont reopen untill January. All i ask if please dont leave it till November to book an appointment cause i cant gurantee one will be available😂

⚠🌞 warm weather please read 🌞⚠

We do have some shade in the salon however with both doors and the windows open, the hairdryers are still warming up the room (even on the cooler setting). I do have a groegg thermometer🌡 I will be closing the salon when temperatures go past 25° and all grooms will be rescheduled as your dogs welfare is upmost important and we really don't want them struggling in this heat.

For dogs that do not need to be dried (pugs, french bulldogs, etc) I will be sending them home slightly damp. As these breeds struggle to breath as it is, I don't want to make them worse.
Dogs booked in for full grooms need to be dried but where I can I will be leaving areas slightly damp too. I'm trying to avoid as much heat as possible for your baby.

Please try to avoid walking your dogs to the salon. We have a very spacious drive so please park up as far as you can to save their pads being on the ground for to long.

We hope you all enjoy the heat, if you know me you'll know I absolutely hate it and I'll be glad when its over and back to raining 🤣

Pet Remembrance Day can stir up a huge range of emotions for those of who have loved and those who have felt the loss of a special pet. It’s a day filled with memories of the happiness and fun times our furry friends brought into our lives, through the bad and the good times. We remember the special bond we shared with them.

A pet can leave a big hole in our heart when they pass, so it’s natural to feel the pain of their absence. It’s natural to recall their gentle weight warming our feet on the chilliest of winter evenings, the way their paws sounded on the ground or the way they was there when you needed them most..

Pet remembrance day means honoring the pets who await us eagerly so that we may cross the rainbow bridge together, a team reunited at last. It’s a time to embrace both the joy and the sorrow, to celebrate the unforgettable moments we shared with our pets and the bonds created along the way.

It’s ok to feel the loss so deeply. It’s ok to recognize their unforgettable pawprint on our hearts, as they aren't just pets... they are and will always be a member of the family🌈❤️

Sun and heat safety tips for your pooches

If it's too hot for your hands or bare feet, then is too hot for their paws! 🐶

If you do need to take your dog out for a walk, we recommend going out early in the morning or later on in the evening when the temperature is cooler. This will reduce the risk of heatstroke and burning their paws on the pavement. If you can't safely exercise your dog, missing a day won't hurt. 🐾

Please remember to take extra care with young puppies, older dogs and brachycephalic breeds, as they are at extra risk in the hot weather! ⚠️

We hope you all enjoy the heat, if you know me you'll know I absolutely hate it and I'll be glad for autumn & winter 🤣

Thank you to everyone who asked about my dog, thankfully she avoided surgery. With medication and a special diet she should be able to pass the crystals soon enough. I have such amazing, caring and understanding customers✨️💚

I rarely have to reschedule appointments but unfortunately my dog is due for surgery Monday and I may need to change those booked in a morning to an afternoon appointment (same day just in the afternoon). I wont be able to leave her unattended and come the afternoon my husband will be home and able to sit with her so I can work.
I really do appreciate your understanding on this as I know each and everyone of you is a dog lover and would do everything to be with your dog during their recovery🩵

📣🩷 Due to the doctors strikes unfortunately my surgery has been pushed back to the 11th September. I'm asking all my regular clients to get booked in ASAP so I can make sure your lovely pooches get groomed and don't have to miss out.
