Another lovely doggie photo, this time of Maverick, such a handsome boy. He is wearing the Flower of Scotland tartan, and a bow to match.
Kate has organised a website for me, making ordering so much easier. Bows will be appearing on there once it launches. Though if you need something not listed, you know you can always message me with your special requirements.
I think there may have been treats on offer when this photo was taken, I can see a glimpse of drool there ❤️😂

I have seen so many beautiful dogs sporting my collars this year, but if one photo encapsulates what I stand for, it is this one of Tan.
All my fabrics are woven in the Scottish Borders, from top quality pure new wool. The colours of so many are chosen to depict the land around us, the hills, the heather, rivers and the sea.
The very beautiful, muted colours of ‘The Isle of Skye ‘ show this to perfection.
There is a story behind every tartan.
But I hold my hand up to the truth, unless there is a special request for a family name, I choose my tartans because they are pretty.
Tan is modelling the ‘Bruce if Kinnaird’. It’s a beauty.

In a beautiful little village today, all set up for my last fair of the year.
Christopher is with me to help, so for once I am relaxed and ready. There is even a strong signal for my card machine.
The hall is so cute with twinkling lights and beautiful views.
Where are we? Port of Menteith in the Trossachs. A little bit of heaven ❤️

It was a wonderful weekend at the Greengallery, but I am in bed as I write this, and I may remain here for the rest of the day. Too much laughing.

23/11/2024

Hello 👋 Kate here! Just popped over to Greengallery to check out Florence’s amazing collection of beautiful handmade paper trinket boxes, decorations and of course her gorgeous tartan dog collars. She’s there all weekend ! 🎄🎁

22/11/2024

I have just been over to the Greengallery to set up my stand for the weekend.
So many artists and crafters exhibiting, and in such a beautiful setting.
If you are worried about the weather forecast, please don’t allow that to dissuade you. The main road I am certain will be open, and Becky has the farmer poised for action with his snow clearing equipment.
There will be delicious things for eating too, so it should prove to be a very lovely day out.
I meant to take photos. Forgot 😬
Anyone who imagines I only sew collars will be surprised, as my love for paper crafting equals my sewing.
Looking forward to seeing you there

Many years ago, I had two little Dandie Dinmonts, an ancient Scottish Breed. It was decided that a Breed Club should be formed in Scotland, in the area where the breed originated, the Scottish Borders.
An inaugural meeting was arrange and the committee was charged with supplying food. I had to make cakes.
It was a seventy mile journey. All the baking was boxed up in the back of the car along with the Dandies.
You know what’s coming.
For the centrepiece, I had made a huge fancy chocolate cake, and unfortunately I chose a box with lifting holes around it. When I reached the venue, there was very little chocolate icing left on the sides.
No wonder the dogs had been so quiet.
As the people at the meeting were all dog lovers though, well used to surreptitiously licked food, we just laughed and ate the cake regardless.

Couple opens a box of pizza and finds something pink moving inside of it.

A lovely package arrived yesterday, cannot wait to add to my selection of collars that I will be taking to the Green Gallery next weekend.
Time is running out as I have had workmen in the house replacing the old pipes, so there have been floorboards up, holes drilled in walls and water all over the place. Then the washing machine broke , flooding the utility……not perfect for quiet sewing in a corner.
As usual these are top quality, pure new wools from the Scottish Border Mills. Despite being beautiful to the touch, a collar made from this fabric will prove to be extremely hard wearing
