Carol, Grammy and Pearl LOVE people so much that they just don't want to share! All three dogs are non-reactive when passing other dogs but prefer not to share space with them.

These girls are deeply loved by the volunteers at BTDR. If you are looking for a companion, who loves walks and snuggles under blankets on the couch, we encourage you to meet any of these girls.

Will you be her Valentine? 💌

Carol is everything you want in a dog. She is loyal, sweet and snuggly. On top of that she is house and crate trained! Carol has never met a stranger ❤️ She would do well with older kids due to her excitable jumping. She enjoys walks and zoomies in the yard but her favorite pastime is being snuggled under blankets next to you. She is mainly a quiet dog but will bark when she is demanding attention from you 🤭 She is the perfect companion and we all LOVE her so much.

We think Carol would do best as the only dog. She’s just not that interested in them and prefers the company of people. No cats please!

Carol is available for foster, foster-to-adopt or adoption!

This is Cora. Cora was surviving on the streets of Tennessee for at least a year. When out trying to trap another dog, Cora walked into it. They noticed she was nursing and she lead them to her tiny babies. From that point on, Cora raised her pups in the shelter until they were old enough to come to MA. All her healthy, chunky babies went off to their forever homes and now it’s Cora’s turn.

Understandably, Cora, 4 years old, is a bit weary of life around her. Once she settles in with you, she is sweet, snuggly, funny, loves walks and is VERY food motivated. Like any lab, she is a counter surfer in the making.

If you have room to give Cora a temporary or permanent home that she could decompress in,
please apply on our website. We’d love to see her finally out of the kennel and onto a cushy dog bed.

Mama Joyce and her Stranger Things pups came from the upside down when they were found abandoned in a porta potty at a park. Then this big family found themselves on the euthanasia list at the shelter. Thankfully we saw them and got them to safety with our partner Alaska's Hope Animal Rescue - AHAR - Cleveland, TX They will be available for foster or adoption on 2/17/25!

Bruno and Lily came into their Texas rescues lives two years ago, a shadow of the dogs they are today. When Bruno and Lily arrived, they were terrified of life and everyone in it. They soon discovered the reason for their fears: both had endured unimaginable hardships, from being tied to trees and shot at, to being abused. Humans had failed them, leaving them scared and traumatized.

Bruno and Lily need an adoptive home with someone who has experience with dogs that have been through trauma. Someone who can give them the time to settle in and feel safe.

They do not need to be adopted together, but they can be!
