Good morning yall! I haven’t been super active here lately. Life has changed a lot since last spring. I ended up selling out and got out of goats. All my precious babies went to fabulous homes. The majority went to the same farm and I know they’ll be loved. My focus now is our other livestock, gardening and teaching others how to homestead and be self sufficient. Some friends and I have started a group and have been teaching classes. A lot of the info we share there, I share on our TikTok account. Feel free to follow along 🙂

I bought these rattlesnake bean seeds 10+ years ago. I’ve been planting from them every year. I thought this year they may not produce. But here they are. Showing out again! THIS is what happens when you properly store your seeds!

I have lots and lots and lots of eggs!!!!!! Limited time, $4 per dozen. I feed all non-gmo feed, lots of yummy veggies and fruit and they free range (most of the time). Can deliver to the AC area.

Holly is growing like a w**d! And LOVES chin scratches!! The new buns are settled and so far the colony set up is working well. Gonna have lots of fertilizer available this spring 🤣

I think we are ready for the cold. Chickens and duck coops are all wrapped up. Stuffed with wheat straw. The chickens even got a heater for their water. (Gotta love thrift store pots!) Goats and dogs all got fresh bedding, warm water and snacks. Holly decided she’d sneak a snack too. I think the rabbits are going to be ok in their colony but I’m definitely going to set them up a temp pen in case that changes.

Y’all please be prepared for this cold we have coming! If you have exposed pipes, or whatever, you have an opportunity now to take care of things. This is the south. Y’all know we can’t drive in winter weather. Anything that can go wrong, will! Make sure you have groceries, extra wood or gas, gas for your generator, candles or oil lamps, check on your friends and neighbors! Don’t hem-haul around to the last minute to do what needs doing! Get your animals extra bedding, get extra bulbs for your heat lamps, go ahead and have some water ready to make watering easier. BE PREPARED!!! You’ve been given plenty of time and warning!!! Take heed!

This little girl is full of energy and loves to play on mama. I think I finally settled on a name. Holly E Presley. Thank you all for the wonderful name suggestions! I’ll definitely be saving them for future babies!

So far Rebekah has had one doeling. She is being an amazing mama!!! The last picture is 3 generations of goats! Ashley is being such a good grandmama. Staying close by constantly 😍
