As their investigation continued, Detectives were able to establish sufficient probable cause in obtaining an additional arrest warrant for Tina Brimer Frey, 52 of Lena, LA, for one count of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals.
Upon obtaining the arrest warrant, Mr. Mike Small, Frey’s attorney was contacted and provided a copy of the arrest warrant at which point he advised that he would accompany Frey to the Rapides Parish Courthouse to turn herself in. Just after noon today, Frey was placed under arrest and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center. Frey was later released on a $5,000.00 bond.
Sheriff’s Detectives say this is still a very active and ongoing investigation and additional arrests are possible.

This speaks VOLUMES! For everyone wondering why no one else has come forward, this is why! Look at their contract. This tells you everything you need to know. Innocent people don't add this to their contract, only people who know they are doing wrong add this to a PUPPY contract.
Puppy contracts are ro protect the puppy, more than anything else. If you can't keep your puppy, breeder gets right of first refusal. If puppy is in a bad situation caused by buyer, breeder gets puppy back. Puppy contracts shouldn't be to protect the breeder from "slander/defamation"

Dear Mr. Phillip Terrell District Attorney General,
I politely but firmly request that you, the Rapides Parish District Attorney, prosecute Tina Frey and her daughter Victoria Brimer to the fullest extent of the law for the charges of Aggravated Animal Cruelty for their deliberate beating, whipping and starving countless dogs in their care.
Under no circumstances are her abusive “training techniques” seen in the leaked videos justified, nor are the stories and photographs presented by many additional clients showing dogs returning home severely underweight, with sores and new behavioral issues from their time in the Cypress Arrow Board & Train Program. These were family companion dogs that were there for basic obedience training. What they received was pure torture.
Tina attempted to justify her actions with the dark brindle female “Fenixx” by saying she was trying to bite through the leash before the video was taken. Unlikely that this is true - this docile pet would have only tried to do that to escape the unwarranted continuous beatings.
Tina Frey’s attorney is quoted as saying, “Revenge for her firing seems to be this former employee’s primary motivation in releasing these videos.” The horrific abuse by Frey and Brimer shown in multiple clear videos cannot be diminished in any way, including the fact that someone leaked the videos knowing the only way action would be taken is if the public saw the extent of the continuous extreme abuse going on behind closed doors.
There is something terribly wrong with any human that is so emotionally disconnected that they can secure any animal in a way that it is unable to defend itself so they can continuously beat and whip it. These people are unable to feel compassion and because of that, they feel no remorse. You CANNOT change this type of human, but you CAN protect the defenseless. We would not stand for mental and physical abuse of the elderly or children and should not accept it with an animal either. A life is a life.
I ask that you not accept a plea deal, or barter for community service or a small fine. Ms. Frey and Ms. Brimer need to feel the full force of the law with jail time, fines and the revocation of any license, permit or ability to own, breed, train or board dogs of her own or clients.
I’m sure you’re aware that the common thought across America is “Animal abuse case in Louisiana? Don’t expect much to happen - that state is so corrupt, they’ll sweep this under the rug with she’ll walk with a fine and be right back at it in no time.”
I am asking you, Mr. Terrell, to please use this case to dispel the dark rumors and reputation of this state and show the country that Louisiana does the right thing.

We have been asked for an update on the Cypress Arrow, Tina Frey, situation. Unfortunately, there isn’t much of an update. That doesn’t surprise us at MLCR, as we have dealt with case after case, but it still angers us, and we know it does everyone else too. This risks totally getting swept under the rug, which is what she is counting on. We have heard a rumor she told someone this past weekend that she has no remorse, as her training methods work, and this will be forgotten in a week. We again venture to state our opinion about these training methods, the methods may work for the person, they do not work for the dog. The dog pays a VERY high price for this kind of training, and we advocate for the dogs. Force free training works for dogs, but in this instant result society pushes for harsh methods that break dogs. You may want to ask yourself why you even have a dog if you don’t want it to act like a dog.
MLCR cannot carry this weight on our own, we have a rescue to run. We NEED you, the dogs need you. We have linked a couple posts with updates.
Jeff Dorson from the Humane Society of Louisiana states there doesn’t appear to be any effort to remove the personal dogs of Tina Frey, he believes, as we do, that the State Police and Attorney General need contacted, please do so!

The videos clearly show extreme abuse that she considers to be "training". Never let this woman (or her daughter) touch your dog!
Tina Frey's attorney has claimed that Frey is “innocent of any claim of animal cruelty” and said the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office is going “overboard” in its investigation surrounding viral videos of dog mistreatment at Cypress Arrow.

“I could not believe that I was watching a video filmed in what the public believed to be a professional dog training service. Never in my life would I have dreamed that I would see something like that,” Attorney Lauren Ventrella said.
Videos allegedly taken inside a K-9 academy in Rapides Parish, La. are sparking outrage. One dog owner and her attorney are now speaking out, hoping to shut down the facility.
