Many of you do not know that HPH often steps in when people and their pets are in crisis. This is one such recent story and needs to be shared. These three dogs came together to HPH, all belonging to one man. The Border Collie, Jack is almost 14, Ava the Maremma cross is 5 and Tiny the Dachshund is 4. Their owner became ill and went to stay with family. He could not take his pets because two other dogs were part of the family. Fortunately a friend offered to look after these three and kindly did so for 4 mths until this man became sick and had to go to Brisbane for treatment. So it was decided to see if HPH could step in until the owner was again well enough. This we willingly did. The dogs didn’t know what was happening and were unsettled and very anxious. But they were safe and they were loved and cared for. And then the best day of their lives happened…… their owner came to pick them up. They knew their owner, knew that he had come to take them home and they were full of joy. Their sadness turned to wagging, heart bursting exuberance when they realised that once they hopped into the car there was no going back. And we were so happy to have been there when we were needed. Love it👏👏♥️♥️🐶🐶
