Baxter has been adopted! Sweet playful Baxter was a little shy at first, but his new fur sister Lily was more than happy to help him feel at home. His new mom is so patient with him. I know she will spoil him rotten!

This sweet boy is Chip. He is a 1.5 yrs old shih tzu. He is a bit of a velcro dog and loves to be near at all times. Some separation anxiety, but we are working on that. We were told by previous owners that small children make him very nervous. He does great on a leash and with other dogs, although he is not very fond of a very playful pup. He will be completing his vetting tomorrow and will be available soon. We are accepting applications and out of state adoption are welcome.

Miss Lola has found her forever home! They drove through pouring rain from Nashville this morning to meet and take her home. Thanks to Carol and Michele for helping to get this girl pulled from the kill shelter and into our rescue!

They are desperate for fosters. Please save a life! Unfortunately, they may have to euthanize some for space.

In light of our current situation, we are asking for fosters for the dogs that we have had. Some have been on Facebook, and several have been in our Homeward Bound Project. The ones that are in HBP, have a volunteer that can answer a number of questions for you. These dogs are all vetted and adoption ready.
Our staff is looking at a massive amount of extra work. Every dog that we can foster out can help ease that burden.
The shelter can supply food, if needed. You can also get flea/heartworm meds for your foster.
Please consider helping🙏🙏🙏❤️

To foster for us, we ask that your current pets be fixed and current with their rabies vaccine. You just have to stop by the shelter to fill out a volunteer application.

Last night here, tomorrow begins a new day for them. The girls are heading north to rescue in hopes they will find their forever homes there. I’ll miss these babies, but I don’t want them to grow up in rescue in the south.

Edited: No Yorkies were surrendered only shih tzu and shorkies.

We have agreed to help rescue several Yorkies and shih tzus. We will be looking for local fosters. All vetting and food will be provided. Please let us know if you are interested. The picture is just for attention.

The “golden girls” are still waiting for their forever homes. We’ve had no interest locally so far, so we will post up north to see if they can find there forever homes. House training is going wonderfully as long as they are let out ever few hours during the day. No destructive puppy behavior. Sweet girls💕

“The golden girls” Please share these sweet pups in hopes they will find their forever homes! These pups were saved from going to a high kill shelter. Mom Australian shepherd, dad appears to be a black and tan hound.

Puppies! Welcome the “golden girls.” We are helping out a fellow rescuer find homes for Dorothy, Sophia, Blanche and Rose. They just had surgery yesterday and seem to be doing fine. They do need to recover before going to their forever homes. They are 3.5 months old. They seem to be doing well with house training as long as they are taken out regularly. Please share and spread the word about these sweet girls!

ADOPTED! This sweet girl came in last month. She had to be shaved, but is now fixed and completely vetted. She is a golden doodle, but DNA test showed she is 88% poodle. She is house and crate trained. Approximately 3 yrs old. Her name is Bella. She is great with kids and does best with dogs her size. She is just under 50 lbs. Please share and let’s find this sweetheart her forever home!

Freedom ride for this sweet little girl. She is very malnourished. She should weigh between 25-30 lbs, but currently weighs 14 lbs (probably a pound or 2 of hair). You can feel every bone on her. She is such a gentle soul❤️
