Such a beautiful day today, everything is fresh and blooming after the rain. My daughter brought Opal outside to soak up some sunshine and snapped these photos of him. Love how the light brings the blue out in his eyes. 😍

Day 12 - One managed to escape out of the nest last night, so we decided it was time to move them from nest to hutch. They have more room to move around now. And their eyes are starting to open!

Jade and Opal miss each other. 💔 We have to keep them separate for now, but Opal gets to visit every day and they touch noses through the gate.

This is the nesting room. The baby bunnies are inside the hutch in a nesting box. Jade has been a great momma to her babies, she keeps them warm by pulling out her fur and placing it on top of them.

This is Jade when she was about 3 weeks pregnant. She is preparing a nest out of hay for her babies.

This is Jade, the baby bunnies' mom. We got her when she was 2 months old from a friend whose rabbit had babies. She is part mini rex, the other part we don't know. She's an average sized rabbit (4 pounds), sweet but doesn't like cuddles as much as Opal.

This is Opal, the baby bunnies' dad. We think he was abandoned in a park, we found him and brought him home. We don't know what breed he is or how old he is. He's small (2.5 pounds), has a very sweet temperament and loves cuddling. We named him Opal because he has two-toned eyes, his irises are blue and brown, they remind us of the Opal gem.
