The second workshop was our 'Strike a Pose' session and the lovely Chilli 🌶 got an intense one on one session of working on different surfaces and starting duration of positions 🙌

With lots of brain breaks, clicks and rewards Chilli and her person got some fab photos 📸

As well as scentwork league today, we had two workshops 🤓🐾

First was the 'Let's do nothing' workshop where we actually did a huge amount of work towards calm and collected behaviours 🧘‍♀️

These teams did so well at building skills and increasing duration of settling calmly. Lots of progress and confidence building in class - Lots to take away and practice (I hope!)

Lovely to spend Sunday morning with you all 👏

June Scentwork league - all the dogs and handlers worked super hard this morning, including navigating their way through a blank search brilliantly! 🐾

🥇First place: Heckie (15 points)

Hopefully you are all having a lovely BH weekend!

Summer is almost here and because holidays and Hannah and Jackie competing sometimes makes weekend training sessions a little tricky over the summer months, we are having a little break from regular coaching classes until August/Sept.

HOWEVER, scentwork league is still happening AND there are a couple of fun, one off workshops coming up on June 16th - watch this space if STEADINESS and TAKING A GREAT PHOTO (as in getting your dog to stay still!) are aims!

In the meantime however, Jackie is running her own regular EVENING training classes on a Monday evening over summer - located near Flawborough in a real life woodland location. The next block of four classes starts on Monday 10th June - there is a puppy/foundation class at 6.30 pm and an improvers plus class at 7.30 pm.

Sunday saw the final session in the current term of classes and we had some fantastic work from dogs and handlers - loved working with you all over the past few weeks!

Well done to everyone who took part in the Scentwork League this morning! Dogs worked super hard and it was so nice to do a search outside - which everyone handled brilliantly!

Jackie came 2nd at Crufts yesterday 🥳

Today she is back demonstrating for APDT - Association of Pet Dog Trainers. Very proud colleague and friend 💙

It was day today 🐾

I had the absolute joy of handling the gorgeous Daisy in the working gundog team class today..... and our team came 2nd 🥳🥈

Such a fabulous day chatting to lots of people, seeing dogs galore and being involved too 😁

Back again tomorrow to demonstrate for - excited and also bit scared!!

Scentwork workshops were a big success today… progressive group smashed working outside (and braved the freezing cold!) and the introductory group worked on building confidence and independence in their free searches and indications.

I somehow completely failed at getting a photo of Dash that did his brilliant searching justice so I’ll have to do better next time! 🥰

Looking forward to seeing you all. Please don’t arrive too early and remember to respect the person working before you by not crowding the door when waiting outside in case their dog won’t appreciate that 🐕

There will also be classes going on on the grass area so please don’t go on the grass and use the gravel area to toilet your dogs prior to your slot 🐾
