Freedom was found locked in a tiny cage in a home where he had been since he was 8 weeks old. They never took him out of the cage and when questioned said they didn’t know he needed to come out😡. Our rescue partner was able to gain his release and he has been on cloud 9 ever since ❤️.

🐾Welcome Ross and Rachel to The Barky Bunch!
These two came from a pound and had been there for a month, starting weight was 30 pounds, now both weigh 20-21 pounds 😢.
Luckily they are testing negative for infection and heartworm.
We suspect a puppy mill dump, Rachel has obviously had multiple litters. She also has a skin infection.
Both are sweet.
🦷Both will also need an extensive dental.
It’s tough to get an accurate age with teeth like this but we know they are at least 5, 5 years of a bad life. That changes now!
We are so grateful to have a sponsor for boarding fees! That never happens and we are so grateful one of our past Korean fosters who cannot foster currently is sponsoring these ❤️
Once we get these 2 in better shape, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, bathed, teeth completed and good food…. they will feel so much better!
We would appreciate any donations to their Vet bill which we know will be over $1000 after a 2 week quarantine with them.

Korea was recently rescued after living his life on a short chain. A volunteer had been feeding him for 2 years as he was left with only garbage by his owners.
Korea was finally released and has went to foster.
Korea has proven to be a gentle soul that wants nothing but love and attention.
Korea has been in foster in California for over a week and doing wonderful. Korea is a sweet pup that is still a little scared of men but not enough to refuse belly rubs. He LOVES to be outside so a fenced yard for him to lay out in would be his dream, or even an active family would be right up his alley!
He would do well with another non dominant dog. Did fine with a cat in the house but has shown some prey drive with cats and squirrels outside 🐿️.

We lost Queenie today after a prolonged illness, she has fought hard for several weeks but today the compassionate decision to let her go was made. She fell asleep peacefully in her Mom’s arms 🌈
Queenie was rescued from a kill pound. Queenie’s mom Katie, was a first time dog owner living her adult life until now without a dog, she had to learn with Queenie how to train and live together.
They did it with a lot of work, Queenie was so loved.
This is our first loss as a rescue, it’s very painful, unexpected and crushing 💔.
If you don’t know this, please know we love each and every dog here like our own.
Katie asks that everyone give their pups an extra treat, take them for an extra long walk in honor of Queenie, that’s what she would want.
