We hope y'all are having a great week. Here at the shop we got several projects out this week and we want to highlight this one and give a big shout-out to our team member, Jayquon. He crafted the door on this chicken coop from start to finish and we couldn't be more proud. Having watched him start his woodworking career at a young age and get to where he is now with his level of skillful craftsmanship is very rewarding and commendable.

This project has phase one complete. Next week we assemble an attached greenhouse. Stay tuned for this one. It's a stunning design and build.

Backyard Haven!
We set up this coop in Austin Texas on Wednesday 08 may and the garden next to it looks amazing!
We added a Pressure Treated but unpainted run to this 6x8 Plymouth Coop.

Are you looking for a secure coop for your large flock with easy cleanout and access to the nest boxes?
This 8x10 will hold up to 40 chickens...
We added extra ventilation doors for hot days and an Auto Chicken Door to let the chickens out in the morning and close up behind them at night.
Also, the white floor is our Glassboard Floor Upgrade that allows it to be sprayed out with a garden hose.

We no longer recommend heat lamps .HEAT LAMPS CAUSE FIRES. For those of you using, or considering heat lamps in your coops - I want you to look at each of these pictures and see exactly what the potential outcome is. ALL of these coop fires could have been avoided. PLEASE do not use heat lamps. A hen with frost bite can be treated, is still alive, and would still be better than the guilt of knowing your birds were burned alive.
Heat is never necessary .And most other places If you have a shelter free of moisture, draft, and with ventilation, your chickens can easily handle below 0 temperatures.
Do NOT recommend heat lamps in coops.
And just because you have used a heat lamp for 40 years, doesn't mean it is safe. And yes, chickens are flammable too.

First coop of 2024 and it was a beauty! This client’s attention to detail made for a stunning final product. We are looking forward to a fun year ahead, is it the year of the chicken? 🐓🐓

Currently on sight of a major project!!!! This historical barn, built in 1912 , is wanting to fall over!!!!! Looks like I’m the guy to make sure that doesn’t happen. Three coops, water tower, a massive retaining wall, a full scale barn renovation , plus the lifting of it also!! A horse barn for two Clydesdales a pole barn for the equipment and so many other projects on this property in the near future!!!! Can’t wait . I even built a workshop on wheels just to make these jobs go as smoothly as I can. The wood stove is a nice touch and extremely needed!! I’ll have more updates to come for this property!!! Stay tuned. Also don’t laugh at the Kenny Rodger!!!! My shop on wheels
