Did you know that Albino snakes should not be in direct sunlight for more than 15ish minutes max. Albinos are more sensitive to uvb and can get a sunburn 😮

Should I provide enrichment and stimulation to my reptile? We hear and see this question alot. We decided instead of just giving our opinion we would do the research and provide evidence to this information. Please feel free to share whereever it may be helpful.

Any animals with a QR code in the albums are looking for a forever home. We are not looking to sell to pet stores, we are looking to ensure these animals have an opportunity for a full and healthy life.

I have loved and spent most of my life around animals. My mother has always had a passion for providing a better life to any animals that needed her care

I have this mentality as well but with a great focuses on the amazing cold blooded creatures, who I have always found beauty in their strength and size.

BAAM Reptiles is an extension of that desire and we want to educate, and help anyone who shares our passion.

It used to be believed all you needed for long term health for a reptile was the right temperature, humidity, and food. This created a hobby where animals were kept in minimalistic environments. However, this has changed in recent years and studies have been done to show the true benefits to providing an enrichment filled environment.

You may ask how do you provide enrichment for reptiles?

Simple.

Provide hides and things to climb.

Provide, challenges to figure out for smarter reptiles (monitors and Tegus).

Change enclosures slightly from time to time providing new scents, new hides, etc.

When you own these animals and choose to care for them, you must remember they are dependent on you.
