My September diary is now pretty much fully booked – thank you so much to everyone who has booked in already 🙏🏼❤️

The only spaces I have left are:
✨ Monday 22nd – afternoon
✨ Thursday 25th – afternoon
✨ Weekends: extremely limited to urgent cases only

🍂 I’m now taking October bookings and my appointments tend to fill up quickly so please get in touch soon to secure a date that works best for you 🙏🏼

Axel, a 3-year-old little pony, was booked in for his very first professional sheath clean 🧼
During the session, we removed a surprisingly large “bean” for a pony of his age!
While it’s completely normal for young horses to develop build-up, it just goes to show how quickly beans can accumulate and certainly a bean of this size can cause discomfort or urinary issues if left untreated 🥺

Starting care early makes a big difference 👏🏼🥰

🐴 Meet Biggins – proof that age is just a number 💙

At over 30 years old, this lovely Shetland still has plenty of character and charm. The other week he had his routine sheath clean and health check because no matter the age, comfort and hygiene are just as important and happy to report he was in great condition down there 🙈🤣✅

Older ponies can sometimes be more prone to build-ups and discomfort, so keeping on top of regular checks helps keep them happy, healthy, and enjoying life to the fullest.

Yard Visit for Sheath Cleaning & Health Checks

I recently had the pleasure of visiting 8 lovely horses for professional sheath cleaning and health check. Each horse received gentle sheath cleaner, beam removal and health check

Regular sheath cleaning isn’t just about hygiene—it helps prevent discomfort, infections, and build-up, keeping your horse happy and healthy.
I bring all my own equipment, use only water-based lubricants, and treat every horse with patience and respect at their own pace 🥰

If you’d like me to visit your yard for multiple horses, I do offer discounts for group bookings too 💸

🐴 Meet Henry – 8 years old and absolutely golden today ✨

Henry had previously had quite an over-stimulating experience with a different sheath cleaner, which understandably left him and his owner worried and slightly defensive about the process.

The other day on our visit, with a calm approach, patience, and quiet handling and lots of making friends first - he was good as gold 🫶🏼🤍

It’s just a reminder that with the right technique and understanding, even horses with negative associations can learn that sheath cleaning doesn’t have to be stressful 🥰

🐴 Pe**le Crust – What Is It? 🧼

Pe**le crust is a build up of dead skin cells and dry sm**ma on the shaft of the p***s and is extremely common than many horse owners realise.
Whilst shedding skin cells is natural, often in the sheath if left for too long it builds up and can become thick, brittle, hard, dry and uncomfortable - sometimes even pulling on the skin and create tiny micro abrasions

⚠️ Excess build-up can cause:

• Skin irritation
• Sensitivity when ridden
• Behaviour changes from discomfort

💡 Regular sheath cleaning isn’t just about removing beans - it also ensures this crust is checked and gently removed the correct product and keeping your gelding or stallion comfortable all year round.
