Daddy and Alfie has a great time getting grubby at the Dirty Dog Challenge! Momma and Gus-bus went and cheered them on and ate snacks. Alfie was even recognised by one of our lovely followers which made his day! Huge thanks to all of the amazing sponsors that made the event so great, especially the Fundraising for Impounded Dogs team and our friend Kellie from . Angus really loved his massage while we were waiting for Daddy and Alfie to get back!

Angus-Bus really enjoyed hanging with our fabulous vet team, he's obviously not holding a grudge 🤣🤣 as when I went to pick him up he was too busy having cuddles. He acquiesced to a 20min nap when we got home, then went straight back to raising hell. Keeping him amused while he healing is going to be tough!
Angus-Bus is off to be desexed today! He still gets a little bit car-sick, but because he had no breakfast there were no pukes this morning- just some A+ grade slobber slingers!

Toot toot! 🚌 The big blue Angus-Bus aced his vet visit, they're really happy with how his skin has healed from the mange AND he grown out of his heart murmur 🎉🥰 huge thanks to for everything they do, and for making sure Angus and his siblings got the forever home they deserved! We love him and his squishy face so much 🩵
It's been a very stressful week after the neighbour's cows decided to bust through the boundary fence. We've had tractors and contractors here pulling out the old fence and putting in a new one. Lots of weird sounds and new shapes to upset the order in Bindi's safe space, so she's been quite upset. Everyone has been confused about why we can't go out in the yard. Momma is exhausted from removing so many loads of rubbish and chopped down trees. Thankfully the new fence is now up, and it's cow proof. Not quite dog proof, that's tomorrow's job. But for now we're stoked to have our yard back, even if it is in small supervised doses. And Bindi is starting to relax a bit again now they're aren't so many strange people doing strange things in her space. Bless that girl, she's lovely.
Angus is studying really hard for his weighted-blanket exam. Hoping to get 11/10.

Pickle has decided that having a little brother is THE BEST THING. Which is good, because Angus thinks he's THE COOLEST EVER.
Stack-a-bullies! Might have trouble doing this in a few months time though... these boyos are going to be big! (Also there are actually three doggos in these pictures. Stormii is inside Momma's hoodie 🤣🤪.)
Please give the biggest warm welcome to our newest lil brother Angus! He's a 3 month old American staffy who was surrendered (with two siblings) to the pound by his breeder because they hadn't managed to sell him before the next lot of puppies arrived 🙄. He has mange, but it won't take long to get his skin back to 100% velvet hippo. When Momma went to meet the pups the others ran around exploring but Angus climbed straight into Momma's lap and snuggled in. Waikato Pound Pups commented 'and THAT'S how a dog chooses a person'- and who are we to argue with a pup who knows his mind so well?! We can't save them all, but heck, what's one more?

Sir Pickleton has very itchy feet, we think he's allergic to grass. Momma is trialling options to reduce contact with the grass and the nibbling on the toes, alongside probiotics and lotions and potions. But she thought you guys might like to see how cute he looks in his lil socks 🥰
Just realised Momma never even showed you the pictures of my new ball pit! Heck unbelievable! The ball pit is my new most favouritist thing ever! Rawr!

PicklePittyPotamus has gained a third of his body weight in the last month, weighing in at 11.2kg this morning! He was an extra good boy for Dr Poppy for his third parvo vaccination, so he got plenty of treats. Legs are looking 💪strong and straight! We'll probably do some xrays at some point to check on his elbows since he started out so rickety, but for now he gets a clean bill of health 😍🧡

Please adopt a rescue dog. We are not ready for another dog, we are still in the crying every day stage of grief. But we adopted anyway because how could we not? And a rescue dog doesn't really ask for much- food, love, a safe place to sleep. Siblings or friends to play with. Something to chew on. Pickle also asks to be lifted up onto the couch or the bed, because he hasn't worked out how to jump yet. Such small things that are easy to do... that can be life changing for a dog. Watching Pickle relax and unfurl, watching him grow confident that this is his home, that we will always come home to him, that he will always be fed, that he can sleep soundly because he is safe... it's priceless.
I so wish Briggle could meet his newest baby brother. He loved puppies so so much. He would be so happy we have added to our family. We miss him so much, every minute of every day.
Guess who loves the vet? It's ME, Tinkerbelle! And guess who yelped so loud when he got his vaccination that the front desk heard him? 🤣🤣 (don't worry, we got lots of treats to make up for it). Annual check up and vaccinations done, clean bills of health ✔️✔️ thanks Dr Katrina!
Behold! The cutest eight orange kilos you've ever seen! Pickle was a very excellent boy for his second vaccination today. It's was very tiring being such a good boy, so he fell asleep before we even left the clinic 🤣. His rickets have improved HEAPS since we adopted him, and he didn't even look up from his treats for his jab. Thanks Dr Poppy!
