Holloway's Garden is a small-scale urban flower farm located on the east side of downtown Indianapolis.

This is two weeks of neglect. I have had a hard time keeping up with the w**d pressure this season. I pull a w**d and another one grows!
We still have a lot of work to do. We will not be at the Sobro Farmer's Market this evening (7/3/24). We are doing a little catch up and then we are going to take a much needed break. We will be back next week!

The month of May was certainly exciting this year! There was an abundance of flowers in bloom just in time for Mother’s Day and that is the first for me. The spring flowers are quickly coming to an end with the heat wave we had, but the summer flowers are growing at a steady pace, and they will be here before we know it!
May is also ALS Awareness month. It will be 9 years since I lost my father to the horrible disease, 9/13/15 to be exact. I will be donating a portion of tonight’s Sobro Farmers Market proceeds to the ALS Association in memory of my father and in honor of everyone who is battling ALS. If you know anyone that is battling ALS in the Indianapolis area that could use a little cheer of flowers, I would love to personally deliver 1 complimentary bouquet per month from May-September. Please DM me.
PSWS is just a week away! We will have premade bouquets and a flower bar if you want to make your own, with all the flowers grown within a mile of the event. Pretty cool huh?! We will also have plant starts from Warfleigh Cottage Gardens that will include zinnias, marigolds, cosmos, and strawflower. We hope to see you there!
I cannot thank Mad Farmers Collective enough for letting me use space at their farm to plant my dahlias! Not only is it one of the most beautiful veggie farms with the friendliest farmers, but the sunrises there are pure magic!

I will be back at Sobro Farmers Market every Wednesday 4:30-7:30pm along with my beloved partner in crime, my cousin, Suzanne! We are so excited to see everyone!!!
I have been wanting to grow edible flowers for a long time but never made it a priority until a local chef put in a weekly request. I squeezed in as many different varieties as I could in the crop plan so be on the lookout this coming season! I should have plenty to share!

They are having a silent auction style fundraiser to raise money to help Habitat For Humanity build a house.
There will be live music, free apps and a cash bar!
We will have a flower bar set up and a portion of our proceeds will be donated to this cause!

I joined the Local Flower Hub of Central Indiana. It makes it easier for florists and retail customers to buy locally grown flowers from all the different farms in one location!

It’s hard to believe that we are halfway through the market season!
Each week there is something new in bloom, which is always exciting, and this week it is something that I grew for the first time - Roselilies. I can’t say that I loved growing them because they are the Goldilocks of flowers - just the right temperature and moisture. Some didn’t produce buds and others grew two. I did three successions and by the third I was over it as you can see in the last photo (I forgot to bring them out of the basement in time). However, once they started to bloom all of that has been -mostly- forgotten because they are stunning!
I will have my first batch for sale this evening at 4:30-7:30pm. 🌸

A bird’s eye view of spring in Holloway’s Garden. This is one of two farms that are located 5 minutes from downtown Indianapolis. The perennials and fall planted annuals are growing at rapid speed and we will be busy planting the summer annuals the next few weeks. Everything is neat and tidy for the moment but in the next month everything will look completely different! We will be doing pop ups at this location this season so please stay tuned!
