Wind picked up and Dash heard it, and he is on edge.
Gave him the Open Farm Calming chews and he wanted his thunder shirt.
He calmed a bit. Then came the thunder. Now he is hiding under my blanket and shaking. :(

When Colin and the Blue Ribbon Pet Supply family in PEI heard about the Nova Scotia wildfires they sprang into action. 🥰 They collected and donated around $10,000 worth of pet food, litter, blankets, water, and additional supplies to help the pets and families affected.

Colin made three trips back and forth from their store in PEI to our shelter in Nova Scotia. That’s nearly 2,000 km of driving! 🚗 But that’s not at all. After noticing our rickety, old dolly cart, Colin even picked us up a new dolly cart so we could transport food more efficiently. He’s just that thoughtful and kind. 💙

It is incredibly inspiring to see animal lovers like Colin and the Blue Ribbon Pet Supply family come together to help. We’ll never forget how special you made us all feel. 🐾 Thank you – truly.

I just tried some mushrooms. Mommy gave me a couple of pieces. Marty loves them but me not so sure. Mom isn't a fan of them and said I am not allowed to eat them outside (last time I got really sick. They were wild bad mushrooms). This time I took my time eating thems. Me not sure if I likes them. I prefer fries. Much yummier!

Mom made some frozen molds last week for us! Some have cranberries and kale! The others have coconut oil, kefir and blueberries in them!

Mom said that she needs to remember to not put the coconut oil in first next time since it didn't turn out quite as she planned.

They still taste yummy though!!!

I just wanna say thank yous so much to Marty, Gus and Rocket and mommy for making me feels better by hanging outs with in the bathroom while the terrifying boom thunder went on.
I was so scared I was shaking and it was the only thing that made me feels safe. Loves you family!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Rocket and Gus here....

So there was loud booming noises outside which didn't bother us, what did bother us was we all (Marty, Jen and Dash plus us) ended up in the bathroom with the water running because someone...... (*cough Dash cough*) is nervous of the thunder.

So that is what we did. We all sat in the bathroom with the shower running and the fan on until it stopped so Dash would stop shaking.

We guess it wasn't the worst thing ever. He does come running if we yell to protect us from whatever.

Rocket is now home. He officially has only 5 teeth now. He had 3 removed today. The vets say he was great and they loved having him. He had x rays done on his chest to check his heart because he has a slight heart murmur. They also did x rays of his mouth to check things out that way too. He did very well.
He is "high as a kite" according to mom. He hasn't even hissed at me yet!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
He got some nice canned food with some chicken broth mixed in. It smells delicious but mom says Gus and I can't have it. It is only for Rocket.
He is currently in my kennel for now. He is a little wobbly and mom and Marty say they are not comfortable with him running around yet.

We are glad Rocket is ok and doing well. ❤️❤️❤️

Rocket went to the vet today for his dental. Gus and I had to wait until mom came home to have our breakfast. She said it would be mean to eat when Rocket couldn't.

Gus was NOT happy about waiting for his breakfast. That boy gets hangry

If you’re looking to adopt a new pet now is the time! With almost 200 animals in care we are asking for the public to please apply online rather than dropping into the shelter in an effort lessen animal stress in an already busy environment.

We have been limiting intakes of small animals like rabbits for the last several months, but we are close to limiting all intakes if the current situation does not improve.

Rocket's blood work came back already! It was super fast! Dr. Rose said it looked good. So wes all happy! Rocket was happy to be home and like mommy promised gave the cats canned food (.... I may have snuck some licks in and gots some...) mom said Rocket needs a dental. I don't see the kitties chew on stuff so that might be why.

Gus was very happy to be home I thinks. He was grumpy and has stayed mostly downstairs sleeping. Mom and Marty say the kitties had a big day. Gus did not end up getting his blood works today. Mom said he was a grumpus. So he has to go to the vets again another time to try it.

Mom also said I gets to go to the vets next week so I am excited! I loves car rides and going to the vets. They all loves me there and say I am a good boy and give me treats! So I don't know why Gus did not like it. I tried asking him but he was grumpy with me too. Again Mom said he had a long day so not to take it personably. Whatever that is.

It is the kitties first trip to the vet in a while. Gus happily went into the carrier and Rocket was not overly a fan of the car ride but did settle after a bit.

I was super jealous. I loves car rides!!! And the vets!!! Mom said I could not come so I cried and gave sad faces. She still said I could not go but I get to go next week! So me happy!!!

I love our vet and vet clinic! I wish we could go alls the times but mom said it is not an all the time thing. Just sometimes for check ups and stuffs.

I hope the kitties like them too!

Mom and Marty know I am a good boy and would LOVE to see all the peoples watching the fireworks BUT they also know what is safest for mes and the kitties. Having us stays home. Inside. With lots of comfy places to hide if need be. And lots of treats!!

FDA warns if you use peanut butter🥜 as a treat for your pet, check their alert about the recall of certain JIF peanut butter products due to a multistate outbreak of Salmonella. The recall also impacts markets outside of the U.S. with products distributed to Canada, Dominican Republic, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Honduras, Spain, and Japan.🌎

According to the FDA website: the CDC, state and local partners, along with the FDA are investigating a multistate outbreak of Salmonella Senftenberg infections linked to certain JIF brand peanut butter products produced at the J.M. Smucker Company facility in Lexington, Kentucky. J.M. Smucker Company has voluntarily recalled certain JIF brand peanut butter products that have the lot code numbers between 1274425 - 2140425, only if the first seven digits end with 425.

I know I haven't posted much here about my life lately. Soos much has been happening!!!!

Moved into new house with mommy and Marty.

Started getting used to new house. Loving the huge windows and the yard to run around and play in!!

Now I got two kitties!!! OK well I didn't get them. But there are TWO kitties!

Mom says they are seniors like me and I have to be gentle with them. I just want them to loves me as much as I loves them but not yet. I will wins thems over!
