Asmodeus, (Asmo) is celebrating 1 year since being adopted in the UK

His fosterer, Dee wanted to shear his journey and celebrate his happy gotcha day

Asmo was a steet dog in Antalya, Lara beach
He was rescued by a lovely family, after being picked up and having the vet checks , he then went into foster care with Dee, who said he was a lovely boy, a gentle giant

Shortly after arriving in Uk he was diagnosed with cancer, after many decisions, sleepless nights, his new family decided they would try chemotherapy.

This was successful and
One year on he has recovered his treatments and is celebrating one year with his new family
Let's wish him and his family a very happy gotcha day xx

Abused as a street dog/pup in turkey, taken to a UK shelter to give him the best chance of a safe and happy life.

Was one of our travellers last week. She was taken in to rescue, awaiting a home offer.
In just over a week, it looks like Ginger has found her happy everafter🥰🙏

Everyone please wish Ginger good luck 🐶 Ginger was overwhelmed entering our rescue and we have a shortage of foster homes. So dog handler Erin took her home and helped her feel safe again 🥰 Three days later Ginger headed off on her home trial

We are desperate for more foster homes to help a dog who needs some time to decompress and a bit of tlc, please fill in the form in the comments 🙏
🐶 We cover all costs and will provide everything you need
🐶 No children under 16
🐶 Any of the 10 Greater Manachester boroughs or surrounding areas
🐶 Minimum commitment of 1 week

With another journey drawing to a close, it never ceases to amaze me how much, love happiness and joy is being bought to the people awaiting there travelers safe arrivel, it is just the best feeling and make these long journey worth every mile for us all.
I don't think anyone can get tired of seeing these moments
I only joined the team a few months ago, it's heart warming to see so much love, devotion and compation you people bring not only to us, but to every person who follows the fb page, the dogs and cats, the charities: Turkish Tails Animal Rescue. Forgotten dogs of Turkey. who continually need your support, to help us make these moments happen
You are all just so amazing 👏 🙏

The weather has been a bit chilly (freezing🥶) on this journey, all travelers have been kept warm and comfortable.
As They are getting closer, to their forever homes
Here are a few pictures of their journey.

On this journey we have some relocation and rescues.

Turkish Tails have Ginger on this trip.
To date Lisa has reduced a 98 dogs in just 18 months

Our next trip is planned for Monday we will keep you up dated as our journey begins.

These are a few updates from our travellers on the last trip.
They are all settling in really well, the streets are a distant memory for these guys.
They are now living the lives they deserve

While we are waiting for our next trip, Paige one of our fostercareers though it would be nice to share some stories and the happy endings

Lara's story

While on holiday in Antalya, Lara beach in 2023, Jo came across mum and pup he named Lara.
They took a shine to each other and became inseparable, so much so, he called Above Board to ask if we could collect her as he wanted to adopt her.
Lara was collected, taken to the vets prior to foster care,
Paige became Lara's foster carer. Unfortunately, the vet did not pick up on the serve illness and she started to deteriorate rapidly, rushed to the vets for treatment, she was diagnosed with Covid, despite efforts Lara passed away 2 wks later.
Jo was distraught by the news, he asked us to collect the mum, He named Nova, worried she may be suffering the same illness.
Nova was collected, checked over at the vets and taken to Paige to look after, where she stayed during preparation for travel.
Nova finally arrived home to Jo in the Uk April 2024.
Neither Paige or Jo will ever forget Lara, but they know Lara will be happy in the thought her mummy, is safe, happy and loved living a life sadly Lara's passing allowed her to have 💞😇
