1/19/25 We can't emphasize enough, it's 44 degrees right now and our Directors have witnessed people and dogs walking on the ice on local ponds. While it looks like it may be frozen, it may not be. With temperatures rising, ice is no longer stable to hold humans or animals. Best to leash your dog at all times when walking near bodies of water! The last thing any rescue team wants to have to do is save you or your dog!
Stay off the ice!

2/12/22 While it looks like it may be frozen, it's likely NOT!. With temperatures fluctuating, it's always best to keep your dog on a leash when walking near bodies of water.. The last thing any rescue team wants to have to do is rescue either you or your dog.
3/10/21 It shouldn't have to be said right now, but there have been many reports in the last few days of dog and human rescues on melting ice! Bodies of water are not stable to be walking on right now! Tomorrow it is going to be in the 60's......leash your dogs(and yourselves and stay off the ice).
