I have an exciting and, quite honestly, emotional announcement to make. Since shutting the doors of Rebirth Rescue a few months ago, I have worked closely with Samsons Sanctuary. It's been incredible to work with a group of people as dedicated to their animals as I am. Rescuers cannot do this alone as it becomes too much, and I have done it alone for many years. I never wanted to close my doors, but I knew I couldn't continue without the support of a team. With that being said, I have officially joined Samsons Sanctuary as their Foster Coordinator and eventually will open a branch for my favorite little creatures, baby house lions 🐱.

Secondly, I always told Jade wherever I went, she went. So Jade is now OFFICIALLY a Samsons Sanctuary Dog. Please direct all inquiries on Jade to Samsons. Of course, my DMs are always open if we have had previous discussions about our special house hippo. This page will remain a dedicated networking and community resource as I have made incredible connections over the years. I guess, as of today, Rebirth Rescue really is closed. Founding my rescue brought me to where I am today and allowed me to save over 500 abused and homeless animals, and I wouldn't change it for the world. My heart will forever be a rescuer, and I am so excited about this next journey. Forever grateful for the community I have gained and that has supported me over the years. I love you all from the bottom of my heart. 🐾💜

Neglect and Abuse Case from Ozzie & Friends Rescue: Safe with dedicated foster - needs new rescue. Please go through slides to see evidence (text messages, screenshots, photos)

Story: My friend saw OAF rescue post online that they needed two week fosters, she applied and went to go pick up Roy, who OAF has had under THEIR CARE for 8 months. When she arrived at the home in Inglewood, she was horrified by what she saw. Dogs covered in f***s and urine. The most unsanitary conditions. They bring out her foster Roy and inject him with an “antibiotic” before sending him with my friend. The crate they gave her was soaked in f***s and urine as well, as well as Roy. She gets Roy back to her house and he is terrified of everything, almost feral, throwing up constantly and having extreme diarrhea. He is also extremely malnourished as you can see from the first two slides, he is skin and bones. My friend contacted me for advice, I told her that OAF rescue has a very bad reputation and to take this dog to the emergency room immediately, which she did. They admitted Roy and the vet told my friend that Roy was on the brink of death and he needed to be hospitalized. He was emaciated, dehydrated and had an extreme case of Giardia that had gone untreated. My friend paid the 2k hospital bill and took Roy home. From there we were committed to keeping Roy away from OAF. Last night, OAF was caught telling a foster to dump one of their dogs at the shelter. This became public knowledge and Cindy, the founder of OAF started contacting all her fosters to get all the dogs back because she knew what was about to happen. She contacted my friend and said she would be picking up Roy at 10a today. My friend said she loved having Roy with her and was confused why Cindy was going to pick him up. Cindy called my friend over 20 times and harassed her. Lauren said she wanted to adopt Roy, Cindy refused to allow this and kept repeating herself saying she’d be there at 10a to pick up Roy. So I guided my friend to text her the proof that we had and that we would not be returning Roy and if she tried to come get him that we would involve the police, lawyers and animal services. Can’t foster? Can’t adopt? Donate! Luckily Jade’s amazing trainer has a facility where Jade can stay until a foster or adopter is found. But it is $250 a week! This is our only option for Jade and we will forever make sure she is safe. Continuing sharing her, we just know her forever is out there 💜

Team Jade! We have six weeks to find Jade a foster or an adopter. As you know, we are a FOSTER based rescue. We don’t have a facility. When we lose a foster it puts the animals and rescue in an extremely hard position emotionally and financially. We are not a large organization with endless funds, last year as the founder I spent 60k out of my own pocket to help all of our babies and we have NO funds left for after this 6 weeks. Jade is losing her foster home on Thursday and she has nowhere to go. Luckily had space for her and she is going to be staying at her facility getting some more training and learning to be even more comfortable around other animals! This girl has defied all odds and has never let her spirit be broken by those that have failed her. As you know when you are a foster based rescue and plans change, it’s so hard on the animals and on the rescue. Jade, I will never give up on you. This sweet girl is still looking for her forever home. She is smart, kind, loving and worthy. It’s so hard to place pups that don’t want to live with another dog. This wasn’t her fault, her family that dumped her at the shelter did this to her. I know your forever is out there my sweet girl, I will not stop until we find it. 💜

Many of you know as she works with countless rescues and independently rescue on her own. She’s been the true backbone and hero for the abandoned dogs in Barstow. She fostered every single one of them. She still has bittie - while we found a new foster for her, it’s not for four weeks. Sharon hasn’t asked for help once. She’s supplied them with love, food and even hired walkers for them while she was at work. I’m starting a fundraiser to reimburse her for everything she’s done, even though she hasn’t asked for it. This is sweet Bittie. She is the last of the Barstow dogs that desperately need a foster. My incredible friend / the founder of has agreed to take her on if we dedicated foster. She is appx 2 years old, kennel trained and mellow. She enjoys car rides and going on errands. She doesn’t love other animals and we don’t blame her after the extremely rough life she’s had. If you can open your heart and home to bittie please message me and I will send you the foster application. Let’s network for bittie, who would absolutely be dead if we hadn’t showed up when we did.

No food or water. She was terrified when I found her and look at her now. She’s living her best life on acres of land with lots of siblings, human and four legged! 💜

In rescue our hearts break daily, we lose faith in humanity, a piece of us die. But we have to remember the ones we’ve saved. Tyson, a death row dog from Moreno Valley living his best damn life in Costa Rica. His forever mom is a traveling student and everywhere she goes, he goes. 💜
